I'm actually looking for a scarf (Cavalleria CSGM bleu) at Vestiaire for a change, so I'm often on their website.
Maybe I should stop searching. It frustrates me every time to see how many private people - not just the resellers -
offer Hermès bags at ever-increasing extortionate prices. Here, among others:

I spotted this one yesterday...no wonder they reduced it from 44k to just under 10k!
I was tempted to ask them why on earth they put such an inflated price on it in the 1st place?
I'm slowly giving up hope of finding my pre-loved wishlist bag (it isn't this btw) because prices for 'good' condition ones have risen by 4k in a few months and their definition of 'good' is my idea of 'poor'!

I've noticed the same thing, but have no idea why. And it's not just TRR, but also One King's Lane, eBay, and Etsy. 90cms going for $1,000+. I have a vintage Kachinas and a large triangle that I picked up two years ago. I've been kicking myself since for not also getting the washed silk from the same year. So I've been looking for it second hand, and would also love to pick up one of Oliver's other designs as well, but, OMG. I have Googled for more insight but the mystery continues.

If you are patient enough to wait - what goes up must come down .. . From my own personal experience all these years of collecting, the other long time members can probably echo the same sentiments??

Why the sudden increase = opportunists? Covid shutdown/not able to travel? The preloved bags are following the same trend:angel::sad:
