i fail to understand this, after all, it is not even a very rare scarf. However, the last couple of years, particularly one Japanese seller/company is doing trade on the ‘bay at exorbitant prices, so there is obviously enough buyers out there to keep this up

I can’t help but think there’s something fishy about it.
I’ve just assumed some people want things desperately enough to pay over the top to get it, but you might be on to something there.
