I also wanted to know where the stores are sourcing these outrageously priced bags. I thought many of the higher end boutiques had restrictions from vendors on what they were allowed to sell. Just strange to me. I actually went into a NM last call to see if it truly did sell H bags. There they were! [emoji50]

An Evelyne TPM in Bleu Nuit sold at Heritage yesterday for $3000 before tax or ship. I bought one in the boutique last week for half of that. Seems like madness to me.

I really don't understand how those things sell. Must be some one who thinks "oh $3k not that bad for an hermès bag" not knowing the retail price... it's not like tpm is very rare, I often see it online and it's not that hard to get in store

I saw that, too. Looks like more emotional bidders now. I used to get a good price there, not anymore.
Here I have more strange example which still is in my mind. It is from Christie's Paris auction 9 March 2015.
Birkin 25cm Bleu Saphir in Swift was sold for 49,500 euro ( USD 54,629)
Interesting is that in the same time I saw couple the same for selling online on eBay and various online stores from USD14,500 on eBay to around USD 20,000 in most expensive cases. Even now the same bag can be found several times cheaper.

Yes, that's really strange. I used to get good deals with Heritage and others, now it looks like bidders don't care about the price, they just have to win, at any price.

I wonder if bidders just got carried away and they may not pay at the end. Anyone willing to pay that price can easily get it from resellers or the store.
