Congratulations on yet another pewter goodie. I like the way the white looks. The handles look pretty good, especially for this light color. I wouldn't do anything to it. Might mess up the leather. Also, I rather like creamy white more than stark white.

These are such amazing specimens. I think the pewter oldies are my very favorite. Nice to get that RED. They are so hard to find. Congratulations!

thedseer, it seems you are into the warmer colors... thats funny because I am more drawn to the cooler colors (olives, blues, grays..) maybe we can keep an eye out for each other!

You're right, I like a lot of warmer colors (especially browns), but I also like medium to dark shades of blue and most reds. The bag I most want is an 03 red weekender, but I'd also love to find a white ph city, a dark caramel ph city, a ph purse (especially in true red, dark turquoise, or pumpkin), and pretty much anything in dark turquoise (especially a city or purse). I'd be happy to keep an eye out for you - is there anything in particular on your wishlist (besides, I'm guessing, a grey ph city)? I love keeping an eye out for people cause I still get the thrill of the hunt but my wallet gets a break

And speaking of pewter....that Sapin weekender you recently posted in the reference thread is maybe 03 emerald? Sapin is 06 and pewter only ran until S/S 04.

yea, you have a thread with many of your bags, most of them you are modeling yourself (and by the way, I love your furniture!)

believe it or not, the weekender is Sapin from 2006. they did a *very* limited set of weekenders with pewter hardware, its actually a little bit different from the old pewter hardware in that it is more raised and has a smaller "face", just like the newer brass hardware...

here is a link to the balenciaga color by season... if you scroll down near the bottom of the page, you can see someone posted a 2006 Ink weekender with pewter hardware as well!

"It's not "Pewter" Hardware like the F/W '02 Suede/Monk to S/S '04 bags...it's a gunmetal-almost silver hardware used on Men's Balenciaga bags which don't include mirrors."
