Oh, you girls have lovely early bags. Congratulations to each of you!

I finally got around to shooting my flat brass family. Next I'll hit the pewter hardware gang. It's been a long time in collecting these, but I love each and every one of these original Balenciaga Le Dix, "Lariat" bags. My latest additions were well loved and showed it, but after a good deal of elbow grease cleaning them up I'm able to enjoy them throughly.

 That's a fabulous collection of fbf, 'C'!

^ Thanks, "D"!

After taking that shot I had to start carrying my '02 Black Hobo around. It's such a practical size/shape, open top, etc. Get this... the world of what's hot in Balenciaga is always changing. This particular '02 Hobo ended up in the Gucci Group Outlets in Italy and I bought it on the bay a couple years ago. Anyways, isn't it crazy this style didn't sell out as the First/Classique did, it was weird before all the really crazy styles came out ;o) I wonder if anything good ends up in the outlets now? I really want to go to Italy and find out!

U serious? Wow! We don't even have a Balenciaga store here, let alone outlets that we can score great deals on bbags :hrmm:

I used to think the First was too small for my needs, but my new favorite is definitely the First. The FBF is really something special  and I am on :cloud9: now, having found a few of those!

I wonder which bbag styles will be popular in another 5 yrs time???

^ I know it's crazy... if only we had time machines!! That's a good question, it would be fun to start a poll and see who read the future best.

If history is any indication of future events, then I think the flat brass firsts, hobos and other FB styles will always be desirable since they are the original designs. It seems the older bags will always be the best investments since the production levels have increased so much now-a-days those bags will remain the most rare. There will of course be exceptions to that with bags that celebrities make well-known, like the Vert Gazon with Giant Gold (from the first season of that new hardware) and really cool colors like Anthracite, Jaune and Violet. I really wish I would have bought an Anthracite bag or accessory, I need a dark grey bag with dimension and life!

OMG Corey!! Love, love, love them and they all look to be in mint condition!

thanks danae, i love it too!! it's weird, this style has been popping up lately on ebay - this is the 2nd one i saw. there's also a white suede one - i wish it was leather
the leather is really thick and silky... i just adore 04 leather

I've seen it in anis and seafoam, I'd love to have either... Or a black :D
Nicole, did you receive that white Oval from France? you must post pics!!!!

^^ no :crybaby: it got stuck in customs in new york and now it is lost. i am so sad and mad at the same time. the poor seller has been doing all that she can, between the french mail system and then the U.S. it's a mess and now some postal employee will end up with my fab bag!!!

i am kicking myself for not just coughing up the retail and buying the one that had been sitting on the table at the Barneys in BH forever...
