I saw one in Boston yesterday - part of the trunk show. It's lovely, but not for me. I'm one of the few people who prefer the 25 size. Congratulations on getting the ungettable get.

I noticed that the vachetta leather is light, but appears different - sort of shiny like it's been conditioned? Did anyone else notice that? Or maybe they conditioned the trunk show bag to keep it clean for display?

Mine is not shiny... but I love how my bag sparkles in dimmer lighting!!! Love my fleur de jais speedy :)

The Vachetta Leather handles are their regular matte. I think I will put this bag in display glass case-just to admire all the details. Too beautiful. Marc Jacob out did himself with this one.

I too went with the Fleur de Jais speedy, the carousel is very small. It is beautiful but because of it's size you can't see too much detail, especially for the price. They keep trying to talk me into buying it but I am waiting for the exotics to come in... I already have my heart set :love:

Thanks for details about the Carrousel piece. I always enjoy a larger bag-so the Speedy was the right choice for me. I just read about the exotics -really collectable pieces. Which one is your heart set on??:cloud9:

Felt the same way when I saw the Carousel... I thought it was going to be much bigger, especially for the price tag that was attached to it. They are both beautiful bags, congrats on the Fleur de Jais.

I was supposed to be on the wait list, first at one store... I'm starting to wonder where my bag is.

They do not display LE bags. They hide them to keep them available for those "they" keep in mind. NM had a waiting list of 13 that I was not on, but they still offered it to me not knowing that I had already purchased mine the day before. Makes you wonder if that list of 13 know it is already there. My Saks SA said the one that I purchased was the only speedy at the first shipment and wasn't sure if any more were coming. I did request the bag 5 weeks before it was released. The day that I purchased my last reveals they at NM offered the carousel too, the only reason I saw it. :shrugs:

Not sure what it is called, but I will post it with a pic when I see my SA this week. One in particular is in Sept Harper's Bazaar, not sure if I will request it though... they want $26,000 for it!!! OUCH!!! :wtf:
At that price it better have a car as a dust bag! :roflmfao:

Saw one on display behind the glass today ... Gorgeous, but not for me.

I think the Carrousel is too small to show the beauty of the craft ship of this gorgeous bag...
i am just looking forward to carry it around... am just too scared lol

I know what you're feeling about carrying the Speedy around during day-I think you can see it coming a mile away. Not to mention the number of women that are going to stop you-and ask to look at the bag!! I'm excited but scared too. Maybe that's the advantage of the Carrousel-size, you can hide it under your coat!!
