Thanks for the wonderful pics and modeling shots. Personally I think you would look awesome carring a paper bag. Both bags are beautiful and look great on you. I liked the plan of keeping the plum, and holding onto the fawn until you are either able to let it go or keep it with love. Is the fawn very limited? If not it may end up at the outlet, and from what I've seen you seem to have great luck getting wonderful bags there. Just a thought, but good luck & happy picking.

You absolutely have to keep the plum bag! And perhaps hang onto the fawn one for awhile and see how you feel - it is very lovely and unusual.

well i just don't know how you can keep coming here and revealing more hideously revolting leather bags, really. the leather pieced together like that, with little details all over the place. and hardware that is just disgusting...and that round hangtang, just gross.

i love everything all the time so i always feel redundant in my slobbery LOVE responses! of course i adore both of your new bags. the plum kristin is very tempting..that color is perfectly rich. i just really get fascinated by bags that have fine little quirky details like the different types of leather pieced together so perfectly. and sorry about your photo ordeal, been there done that! congrats on more sponge worthy pieces!

I am so late for this reveal. But wow! Everything is wonderful. I was interested in the Fawn bag. I had no idea it was ostrich. I thought ostrich was the bumpy leather too. I really did like the looks of the chain strap as well. The spinner fob is really cool too. Both bags really do look beautiful. I hope to see them in person at some point. But with so many ladies into bags and loving Coach, I do enjoy sharing my collecting habit with awesome tpfers such as you. I am a tad on the fence with the Fawn as I really do think the chain strap would have made it more of a WOW bag....I just dunno if she'll stay or get exchanged (maybe for that GORGEY Caroline dowel satchel coming out in Sept?!) Yes, that readiness for using the new camera for upcoming reveals indeed is true! As I said above, the Fawn bag is on a wait and see list. I keep looking at her thinking that while the leather is TDF, Coach blew it on the holding back with the rose gold embellishment on the strap. Dunno. But thanks for your encouragement and kinds remarks!!!

Both bags are amazingly beautiful! I wish they would have made the chain strap, though....but still gorgeous! I'm anxiously awaiting the mod pics, as I know you will look fantastic with your new bags! I'm also curious to see the how the size of the plum satchel looks when carried. I love both of them, but for some reason I'm really DRAWN to the FAWN, ha ha. It's really classic and lovely, and of course I'd like it, naturally, with a hefty price tag. Those always catch my eye, unfortunately!

I love summer. Really, I do. Ours are so short and precious here in the Midwest where we have months and months of coat-wearing weather. But I'm glad to see some of the beautiful fall bags make their debut while we're still enjoying cicadas and long daylight hours. That Plum flap will be SO HOT for fall!!!

I'm late to this reveal, too, but I thank you prof for all of your patience, pics, and extreme attention to detail. I love the plum, but my memory of the green version of this satchel resonates from the fall pics thread, so I'm glad to have seen others chime on on green obsession. I'd love to have both the plum and green!

But I'm curious: I've never seen ostrich skin before, except on feathered live ostriches. So do tell: is the lighter purple on the front supposed to be the "mock ostrich" part of the spectator--are those deeper dyed purple welts designed to simulate the places where the ostrich feathers would have been plucked?? But the fawn bag, which may be the real ostrich bag, doesn't have the welted details. Curious.

I think the ostrich flap on the plum is embossed and yes, that would be the "dot spots" where the feathers were pulled, if indeed this were real ostrich leather. And I think the fawn is as another poster was astute to point out, from the LEG of the ostrich and hence, the different appearance....Does this help?

That plum satchel is a show stopper!!! Love it. Want it. Need it! I'm a little torn on the fawn bag, but I have to say the hardware looks gorgeous and the spinner fob is a great touch! It looks like such a classy bag...I think I'd have a hard time returning it, lol.

Celine is doing an ostrich leg Box bag this fall (I think I saw it in a Nordstrom preview book), but if you search Google images of "ostrich leg leather", I'm sure that's what your fawn bag is (whether it's either real or embossed, I'm not sure).

I really love both bags, but I guess I prefer the fawn since it's even more exotic than the plum. Very unique pattern, but in a simple, lovely color that looks classy. The plum is very rich looking too - what decisions you have!

However, if you're on the fence..."if in doubt, do without" (I wish I could listen to m own advice sometimes )



Sure, NP! In fact I think that's why there are only little strips of leather on the bag.

DH loves them both...but I really should ask him which he favors more. I dunno if I did that yet, and that's a good idea. He's a good "Coach Coach" LOL for me....I like very much how you mentioned the jeweled sophia....I wonder if this one will be outlet bound esp b/c of the price point and how it may let some others down because of the strap. IRL the leather is just gorgeous. I will say that. The leather photographs miserably and I tried in multiple pics to capture the true color and texture but cannot, even w/my new camera. But I guess I think as you are, too, that the WOW factor is not there for a bag that they priced at 1k. I think the better price point was 798 because they held back so much on the hardware....I did get the bag for $750, though, so I'm fence sitting for now. THanks for your help and advice. They just say made out of leather. I am intrigued so I think I'll call my store and find out more about the Fawn bag. I really want to know since they did not put the term "embossed" in the style name! They outright called it Ostrich Leather....
