I like the cute Kelly buckle on the Giulia too! I am thinking of getting a pair if I can find the right size. I am worried about whether the Giulia sandals will stay on one’s feet or will it easily slip off like the Orans when walking?
Please share your experience. Many thanks!
They do stay and feel more secure than the Orans as the front part wraps more of the feet :) I like that the soles are fully cushioned too so they are more comfortable to walk in. The Orans soles are too hard for me as only a small part at the back of the soles are cushioned.

Hope you find your size soon! :)

Agree. Everytime I wear my Orans, I get blisters within minutes of walking in them. I think it's from the way the spaces in/edges of the "H" rub on the side of my toes. I'm not sure why most people find these comfortable.
Calfskin Orans takes at least 3-4 wears to soften. Epsom Orans are no no for me as it’s really hard to break in.

Suede or nappa leather Orans are soft and comfortable for me but they expand very fast at the front.

Has anyone tried the Empire sandal? It looks absolutely lovely and comfy, but I'm skeptical. Would love to hear any opinions on them.
I recently bought the empire sandals and absolutely love it. I was looking for comfy sandals and tried on many others (orans, chypre, etc), but these were perfect. I had to size up half a size as the edges were hitting my toes and heals in my normal size.

Thank you! This is really good to hear. The chypre is always sold out so I have sort of given up on them. And Orans are lovely but not super comfortable for me. I have wider feet. Hoping empire might be a good option.

Is the toe separator really stiff? I love the empire sandal look but I hate those thing type shoes.

I just purchased a pair and love the style/fit. The toe separator isn’t noticeable and doesn’t bother me.

The one area that I noticed is the lip that hits the top part of my foot close to my ankle. I’ll have to wait and see if this is an issue.

Hi guys just wanted to know sizing for the extra sandals. If someone could help me out pls.
I’m a 38/38.5 in Orans, 37.5 in chypre and 37 in Eze. Confused if I’ll be 37.5 or 38 in the extra sandal

I have my cobbler take in the leather H upper closer to my ankle. On one pair he took in 1/4 inch on each side
i size up on the Oran or oasis bc I like extra length
37.5 boot; 38 Oran; 38.5 oasis

I am the same size in the extra as the chypre, and 38 is the right size for me in the extra. But someone, maybe @Bdbunny ?, commented that the chypre sizing changed and now runs large (so size down). Apologies to @Bdbunny if my recollection is faulty. In the all leather chypres from a few seasons ago, I was a 38. I tried on a shearling chore early this year and I was definitely a 37.5. If it helps, I am a 37 Birkenstock or dior act sandal.

ETA: the wide variation in sizes may have something to do with how your feet are shaped. If your feet do not conform to the shape of the H insole, then perhaps one sizes up (as i do).

Hi! It might vary depending on the specific shoe, but I found that the 2 pairs of chypres I got this season are TTS. I am 36.5-37. Most of my H shoes are 37 and the chypres in 37 this season fit me TTS. However the pair I got last season were 37.5. And they seem to measure the same length as the current 37 when I compare them. So I think they used to run small but they seem to run TTS now.
