I agree too. Damier is just as practical as the monogram. I would definately carry it with jeans and a t-shirt.

I think the Damier speedy is a little formal, I don't know what it is, maybe the gold and the squares. I want one but I am going to get a mono speedy first.

i don't think that the damier is too formal for everyday wear at all. You should definitely get it.

I don't think the Damier is more formal, I think it's more tailored and polished if you get what I mean. I think it might have something to do with the commonness (is that a word?) of the mono and also the straps that don't patina. I love it though and will definitely use it all the time

I don't consider Damier formal by any means. It is coated canvas too, isn't it? IMO a Damier Speedy is a knock-around bag.

I think its just as versatile as the mono canvas. Its really nice, im looking forward to viewing some new speedy bags in the damier line!
