thanks dear!

Sadly no, otherwise I'd buy it.

Tried a few brands, but sadly all of them tend to be slouchy at the shoulders, and I personally feel that a main aspect of the "sharpness" of that coat are really extremely defined shoulders.

I found the Harris Wharf coats pretty close to what I wanted to have, but those won't look good on me, sadly. And: the coats aren't long enough ( I am tall, so that will always be a problem...) I feel, that those coats have to be long.

Inserted a link for you (in white, though), perhaps you like it?

I love the sharpness of shoulders on a coat too...I found this vintage Pierre Cardin on the Real Real last year. It's honestly one of my favorite coats I've ever owned...it weighs a ton! It might be a men's coat and men's coats tend to have those sharp shoulders.

I always wanted the black dress that Kinsey Millhone had in Sue Grafton's detective novels - some no-name out of some synthetic fabric that she could pull on from a crumpled mess in her back seat and fit in anywhere.

I am not even a dress person right now - I've been living in jeans/slacks for the last several years. But I bought the ScottEVest Daphne dress ( https://www.scottevest.com/products/daphne-dress?variant=42345919578327 ) in black a couple of years ago, and it is so very close to perfect: Pockets! Hidden and zipped! Big enough for everything I carry! Flattering, even though I'm fat. V-neck that doesn't gap. And could be worn pretty much everywhere. (And stretchy knit - I could totally wear it riding! Uh, if I rode.)

But. The fabric is terrible. It's plastick-y and crazily uncomfortably warm even in cool weather.

It sits in my closet waiting for me to find a seamstress to copy it in any kind of decent knit. Meanwhile I found a black Land's End cotton-blend shirtdress that is also flattering, but not quite so versatile, and sadly doesn't have the awesome pockets. It will work for now.
Oh yes, I love that dress she has and those books! I found mine at Eileen Fisher. Sadly no pockets, but otherwise perfect. Its gone smoothly from funeral to summer outdoor event.

such a great coat! you look fantastic! Yes exactly, this is what I meant with " sharp shoulders!. Looks so good!

Thank you, the link doesnt work. would it be this similar?
I always see either single breasted, straight line but too short, or the long ones are wrapped coats with belt (too slouchy). Also I need a lot of wool content.

so you are looking for double breasted?

Sorry that the link didn't work:( I need a lot of wool material, too, because I personally need the coats to fall "heavily". So, double breasted, lots of wool, I'll keep an eye open - am on the hunt for such a coat, too (single breasted for me, though). This one was the one I inserted- too short, alas.

You look fantastic, great coat!! In Europe the most popular resale site for luxury brands is Vestiaire Collective. I think the Real Real is US only

That´s a nice coat. Maybe too thin. Single or double breasted I don´t really have any preference actually, as long as it´s long and has that "sharpness". So hard!
For wool its because I look at scandi brands that have that masculine coat cut, but for around 400-500€ you get only 50-60% wool and living in Scandinavia I do need at least 80% haha....There is one from Acne Studios I like for 1200€

I saw this coat today at Max&Co it’s straight cut, thick enough for a Nordic winter, 100% wool with a contrasting lining and around 483€ which is pretty fair I think. I like to have enough room to layer a thin uniqlo puffer underneath.
It has quite a deep V collar though. Here it is dark navy, exists in camel, black and other bright colors.

Love the navy on you-are you going to buy it-yes it does sound reasonable?
