thedseer--your tote is beautiful. I love the shade of blue inside. Msbuffy--Kat from PS Dept. said the small tote handle drop is 8 1/2 inches and the large is 9 inches.
Any guidance on deciding between the large and small tote sizes would be appreciated. I wanted something different from the other larger totes I have (MM Neverfull, Everlane Market Tote and an MZ Wallace city tote and metro tote). I though the small was the answer but I am rethinking based on the size of the drop and based on Jetset's comment in the main thread about not liking the way it fit under her arm. Please help! I have a large bucket in black royal and mini in cammello rosa and really want to get a tote too.

To contribute, I looked up the sizes online but seems like the width is very confusing - perhaps because the neverfull opens out and the M&G is more box like? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Neverfull mm: 12.6H x 11.4W x 6.7D inches
M&G large: 11.5 H X 19.5 W X 6 D
M&G small: 9 H X 17.25 W X 4.25 D

Someone just posted that they measured the strap drop on a recent small to be 8" – just a couple of posts back.
Not sure about the other comparisons. They do seem like a diff shape than the NF based on your measurements.

I can't compare to the neverfull because I don't have one, but I can say the Large MG tote has a much larger strap drop than the NF. I have tried one on in the store and it is tight on me and the large MG is very comfortable. Looking at videos of the NF it is comparable. I think the NF is more narrow on the bottom than MG though.
The sizes are confusing but the height and length are totally correct. The depth depends on what you fill it with. its more of the depth on the bottom of the bag, and if you have it in the shape of a rectangle. I do think the MG large tote is much bigger than a NF is you were looking for something smaller I wouldn't go this route.
