(the only possible downside is that the shape is more rigid and some may find it harder to tie or adjust the strings. but it really depends on what you prefer)

I called Barneys and they told me that the pre-orders from this round (late October-current) will be delivered in mid-December/before Christmas. According to the associate I spoke with, they didn't change the October expected delivery date from the July pre-orders although they were meant to. Hope this info helps anyone who's recently pre-ordered from Barneys!

I'm purchasing a saffiano bag in a light color, so I'm hoping to take advantage of the textured leather to keep the color and the bag looking new! I haven't heard much about the saffiano compared to vegetable tanned and calf skin, but now I'm searching everywhere for saffiano pictures while I wait for my bag :p

You made the right choice. I would definitely get a saffiano for a light colored bag! The only type to remain pristine!

A 100% white background is not possible without photo-editing! :laugh:

Well, I've joined the MG vegetable tanned black/flamma club! Just purchased the regular size and it should be here in a couple of days. I'm excited! I've admired them for a few weeks now (I know, I know, what planet have I been on?) and ... well, you all know that feeling! I LOVE the option for the red interior, and I LOVE the structure of this bag. Love 'no hardware', love the 'made in Italy', love the concept behind the design, love the two women who started the company ... it's just a win-win-win-win! And I got a great price!!!
