Well, I'm European and I hear those a lot! :D

But please don't make me pronounce words like Massachusetts, Jewerly or Knowledge or my tongue will end up as a knot!

;)

Massachusetts is pretty easy! Mass-uh-choo-sets! If you think the state is hard to say- you should hear the accents Boston-ers have. :)

Anyways, I saw vuh-ton. and Hermes is Er-mes. I've been having problems with Botkier, so I say bot-kee-ear. :-p I could be wrong though.

actually its ER-MES

the H is not said because of the´ on the e.......

It is pronounced ER-MES! My friend & I were arguing about that for a while and when we were at downtown SF, we finally decided to settle the argument and went in an Hermes store.

So, it is pronounced ER-MES:D

It's ER-MAY (that's how it sounds...). But the H is not pronounced simply because it's silent, not because of the accent on the E. Just like in the word HOTÊL (OH-TEL), or HAUTE (OAHT), the H is silent in these situations as well, only because it's a silent letter. Also, HERMÈS has a grave accent like this È not like this É.
