@bebefleur, congrats on your new bag in shell grey! Good things come to those who wait. 😉

Kindly know that I don’t mean to offend anyone who purchased from the prior collection(s). To tell the truth, kinda kicking myself for not getting the mini puzzle in burnt red.
Oh absolutely, I don’t mean to offend either. I just already have a lot of black bags and the other colors just didn’t suit my aesthetics. Just thrilled to see other people loved the featherlight in shell grey too. I feel like this is such and underrated bag.

I'm very interested to see how the large featherlight will show wear and tear, especially on the top handle. I feel like people don't often cover how the handles on the medium and large will crease with use and the most pronounced rippling will be along the major bend points. The classic calfskin is a little sturdier than lambskin, so it can take some use before it starts to show. However, the creasing can be pretty pronounced once it does (showing an example from Google here.)

Appearance will vary by color, but I wonder if the lambskin will crease faster/show more pronounced creases.
Mhm, my really used and abused medium puzzle for 3-4 years still looks smooth at its handles. Perhaps something else happened to the bag. I can‘t imagine the flap getting so crumbled even with much use…
I saw the brick puzzle in person yesterday and man I really think it looks terrible. The panels line up really nicely so there’s that but otherwise I think it makes the entire bag look extremely clunky due to all the additional lines and breaks.

I was associating raw meat in a deconstructed way. Reminded me of Lady Gagas meat dress.

I'm waiting for a small black version with silver hardware. Seems very classically Loewe, so hopefully it will happen.
It seems Loewe is making the classic (not edge) in black with silver hardware hard to get. So many puzzles use gold hardware, not to mention the classic puzzle is priced at a premium. This season’s version is the biker, but i absolutely do not want the extra weight. I tried on the featherweight but that’s with gold hardware.

Need some help and input about satin calfskin. I have a chance to buy a small classic black in satin calfskin. For anyone who has one, how delicate is it? I have two, both in their classic calfskins. Durable and don’t show wear. Is it as delicate as a lambskin classic flap?

Can you go see the bag in person? I have the mini heen puzzle from the HMC collab and don't care for the satin calfskin--seems stiff, somewhat plastic-y, prone to wrinkling and I swore no more satin calfskin for me after that. But then I got the small mandragora puzzle edge from one of the SF collabs and the satin calfskin doesn't bother me. The leather feels quite nice and it hasn't wrinkled much--but I think it will wrinkle more at the opening eventually. Also, I remember despair posting some pics of the same mandragora puzzle at his store where something looked wrinkled or pulled with the leather, but I feel like mine looks fine. As for durability, I have not used either of my satin calfskin puzzles enough that I can comment on HOW durable they are. I don't really worry about their durability but I'm also not going to take either on a Costco run where I think somebody might scrape my bag with their cart.

Thank you so much @cathavenicethings
I really appreciate your input and your observations. I am glad to know that the small puzzle works for you. I have seen it in person but didn’t co wider the prone to scratching factor. I realized that I have a satin calfskin wallet that I totally use and abuse and I am not bothered by the scratches at all. Hope that the puzzle is the same.

I don't think satin calfskin is more delicate than the normal calfskin, just that the wrinkles show up more readily (IMO) on satin calfskin vs normal calfskin. Amongst our puzzle bags the only satin calfskin one I still have is the monochrome orange one and I use it far less than the other puzzles, so I can't really say for sure whether it's more delicate. I did have color transfer issues onto the piping of the monochrome puzzle but that isn't a "fault" per se of satin calfskin as a material.
