Maybe because this show put him under the microscope so that ppl could see that he's an unstable nut? No one outside of the Bball world really knew Lamar Odom until he became a Kardashian. And, yeah, posters here have said that he was this way before Khloe but, let's face it, this family and the fame associated with them has given him more attention than I suppose he bargained for. You don't think that filming a scripted reality show when he should've been focusing on his work, health and well-being should be a factor in all this mess?

THIS! It is amazing how people cannot admit the show was a major factor in all this mess.

The articles have already been posted here before. First, he said on his emotional interview after the 1st trade that the show was a distraction or Lakers view it as a distraction.

In that ESPN interview, he said maybe, people thought the show was a distraction but he thought he proved it was not with his play. (/hence, 6th Man- he was NOT distracted)

In a recent article, the writer wrote that Lamar wondered if the reality show 'was a distraction during his last season with the Lakers'. This article was posted on here and it was the same article where he said that the lakers should admit that there were going to trade him anyways.

In an interview with FOX SPORTS dallas and you mentioned that interview. The interviewer asked him about the show and Khloe and he said clearly that he found it 'hard, very hard' to do the show.

Yes, he said it was hard when he first started, but he said it was fun.

There is no enthusiasm coming from doing the show, it is all Khloe and the Kardashians. If Lamar was happy about the show, he would be shouting from the top of his lungs. Because when he does have a good game, he gives several interviews about being passionated about basketball and whatnot.

Even Khloe said there is a man room he goes hide out when the cameras are too much for him and he is never comfortable around them. If Lamar is so proud of the show, why has he not even tweet about this season?

Exactly, she also said he tells her when he's tired and she makes sure they only film her.

He won Sixth Man of the Year while filming. Dallas just didn't work out.

Exactly. Lamar didn't want to be in Dallas. He went to a team that didn't need him so to speak. He was dealing with personal issues from the summer. Just couldn't get it together to be effective.

It's a shame and I hope he gets himself together and gets another chance for the next season.

If not, then perhaps his career is over and he should focus on his mental health and taking care of his kids.

We can agree to disagree but following him all these years, I think the show is a major reason why he is in this mess right now. It is not just simply Dallas didnt workout, he has made decisions that impacted him the wrong way most noteable this show.

Plus, his psyche is not built for this type of fame

He was also playing on a better team when he won. He himself has said that he was not in the greatest shape this season, yet his azz was filming, not working out! It was not just filming that got him caught up. A lot of things, though, he had no control over. The filming, he did.

I actually think if his cousin hadn't been murdered or he hadn't witness the death of the 15 yr old boy this past summer the transition might have been smoother. He might have even been able to deal better with the botch trade.

the show wasnt the CATALYST of this mess, but it certainly exacerbated a bad situation, all arguments regarding that should be about the degree to which it did so...

I would never say the show was THE problem but it certainly played a role in his down fall. If he wants to resume a successful basketball career, he will need to let that go for real.

They didn't watch that show.

well, they sure know about it...I dunno....if I was his new boss and saw him whining about coming to work for me, after a disappointing few months I would be over him pretty fast. Last straw sorta thing. It would be different if he was on fire on the court, but he is not.

ETA:I know that the Trade episode was filmed months ago, but as his boss, it would still bug me under the circumstances. If he had been playing amazing basketball, I would not care, but that is not the case. I would just feel that he didnt bring his A game to the court. And, even if the management didnt watch, you can bet some of the fans do. Its embarassing for Lamar and for the people who hired him to come to Dallas. So yes, the show is a factor.

Its great he got Sixth man, but remember, the other 5 were Lakers, his friends, like family to him. It wasnt exactly a difficult thing for him to do. And, he was watched by Jack Nicholson....so of course he shone like a diamond.

The owner does reality shows. I've never seen him whine about going to work on the show. He said he was out of shape and his body not responding.

I don't understand why he did no training for 5 months. I can see taking a few weeks lso, what is the deal with Jamie? In last night's show, when they were looking for a place to live in Dallas, he wanted a bedroom for Jamie. That was a big red flag for me. Why would someone who has been married only 2 yrs want a male friend to live with them. I understand having him move to Dallas, but to live with him. Is Lamar on the down low?
