and his own behavior has facilitated that... He's not getting any younger, soon his skill/athletic ability wont be enough to overlook everything else. The reason certain veterans who arent all that good/fast anymore still are able to command big salaries is b/c they've developed a reputation as being consistent/clutch or a great leader in the locker room. lamar is none of those things. I guess its safe to say this dallas experiment was a bit of a bust. didnt he ask to go to dallas? anyone know if he had any other teams on his short list to get traded to or was this decision primarily made out of spite?:laugh:

This. Using him as the reason they are loading is bull crap. One player don't make a team. Every game the mavs loose is Lamar's fault. I've never seen anything like it. He is not the highest paid player on the team. Geez.
The mavs traded the team away last season so now they have to go thru team rebuilding.

I don't feel sorry for Lamar for being their scapegoat... yes, it's not all his fault, the rest of the team isn't playing well either, but at least these guys are trying. How you say? Can't knock their hustle... Lamar isnt even their scapegoat IMO. There are negative articles written about esp JET + other Mavs players all the time. They just don't get posted here bc this isn't the Dallas Mavericks thread. :laugh:
