I am not sure if this goes here, but I was watching Stacey & Darcey show on TLC and thought that Stacey’s Kelly looked very cool with the sangles closed and locked but the flap left open.

DH woke up this am and said (of what I wore yesterday) ‘that Kelly is the sexiest bag in the world. It says to other bags, I am cooler than you are.’ I nearly cracked up laughing. Worn crossbody during the day with Akris dress. And later for an errand with very old Roberto cavali denim (yep, I’m old enough that I can shop vintage in my own closet

I searched my photo library for pics of my K28 with two of my Evie canvas straps (gold & etoupe). These photos were taken in early March right before NYC began sheltering in place (and the last time I used any H bag). The canvas strap worked well over late winter coats, and the mismatched color pairing of strap and bag helped to keep me casually UTR wherever I went.

I love the idea of wearing the straps under the flap. I do agree closing everything up can be a pain at times, but leaving them hanging sort of bothers me as well. Good suggestion! Thank you @coloradolvr! I worry about the spindle? Spine? When I see Kelly’s open, so I think the belted straps under the flap might help support the bags weight. when belted, I can get my hand inside and pluck my cc and phone from the interior pocket, but I’d have to unbelt to get anything big out. I do keep my Amex, metro card and phone in zipped cargo pants pockets. ( if I was on my iPhone I’d insert a rolling eye emoticon here. . .I love the idea of wearing the straps under the flap.
