Sharing my new beauty! It is the small hop in the Sterling suede. I’ve always been a little nervous to purchase a suede bag, but all the beautiful posts on this forum made me obsessed! I am going to spray it down with some suede protector, and hopefully it holds up with time. As to the question of hold a 13 inch laptop, I’m not too certain since I don’t have a 13 inch computer to test. However, I am able to fit my iPad Pro in it quite easily I think the iPad Pro is 11 inches. Because of the smaller opening, I put the short end in first and then rotate on the inside.

hii how has this held up so far? its abs gorggggggggggg

Do you baby your Hop bag? Is it high maintenance, especially the large one? I want one, but am worried about scratching the pointy corners.
I don’t baby mine at all. I have the small. The calfskin makes it much more durable. I have the Andiamo as well and very much baby that bc of the lambskin, I can be way more carefree with my hop

I'm headed to Paris next month and planning to purchase the large hop - for those of you who own it, is it worth it!? I love the classic style and think it will fit in well to my lifestyle (I live in Chicago proper). Any pros and cons to share? Thanks!

Pro: it's very large and can hold alot. I'm actually using mine for a quick overnight beach getaway and put my laptop/charger, small toiletry bag, makeup bag, bikini, cover up, and nightgown into it.

Con: it's very large and can look ridiculously large on some people (myself included, I just don't care)

I love the thick strap and when traveling, I set it on top of a wheeled carryon and the strap stays on the handle better then the straps/handles than my LV on the go which i also travel with frequently.

The opening on the small hop notoriously challenging to get into but this is better on the large though the design still harder than a bag that's wide open at top like on the go or a neverfull. The top also doesn't zip closed (it has one small magnet) which some may view as a con, but neither of these things bothers me personally.

I have the chamomile color which is a pale yellow and I love it!

Thank you!! This is so helpful
I’m a tall gal so luckily it doesn’t overpower me
Love the color you picked - so pretty!

Help required from current hop owners in deciding what material to get a hop large in? I am debating the fondant in either suede or leather. I was also told that for fall BV will be releasing the colour ā€˜Mud’ in the suede (unsure if it will be in leather as well). Either way, what material do you recommend? I have a number of BV leather bags but no suede bags. I intend to use more frequently as I love bigger bags. Thanks in advance!

I should also add… I have a regular sized Jodie in black leather, an Andiamo in fondant leather (those are my larger sized BVs).

If you love the look of the suede, don’t be afraid of it :) I have a lighter color suede hop and it’s help up beautifully for me. Now I don’t think I would travel with mine since there’s so many more opportunities for getting dirty, but if it were a darker color I would. I’ve used mine close to daily during the week (occasionally swapping out for other work bags) and it still looks great. I personally immediately fell in love with how soft and ā€œpuddlyā€ the suede is against the body, as opposed to the leather being a little stiffer to start (although I’m sure it softens up beautifully over time). So it’ll come down to personal preference, although if you already have a leather Jodie you might love to switch it up with a suede Hop!

Awesome! That is all I need to hear and exactly what I was leaning towards. Thank you!
