I agree with Hazeru that the Hookup is cute but pricey. It only does one thing whereas the Clipa doubles as a bracelet. My Clipa goes right back onto the back which is soooo nice. Thanks redskater for the pics. I like that you put it on a big bag!

I have never used the Hookup, although that does look really pretty, but I use my Clipa all the time and I totally love it! I have used it on shopping cart handles, bathrooms on the handicapped railing, movie theatres (on the back of the seat in front of me), and even odd tables like wrought iron. And it is really strong, I often hang my purse (which is heavy) and my laptop case (which is realllllyyyy heavy) from it at the same time and it's never been a problem. So I highly recommend the Clipa and I got mine at www.pursebling.com because they have free shipping!

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. I recently got my Clipa, and it does such a better job than the first generation of purse hooks that came out -- it can actually hold my "kitchen sink" bags w/o a problem!

I got my Clipas and I enjoy using them. I have both the Hookup and Clipa brands but I will probably be using my Clipa bag hooks more because they are easier to use.

LOL - like any of us would win. Just seemed a way to kill time (cabin fever, anyone?), support a business who seems to be a good one, and that's all. I guess I completely misunderstand the whole 'like' concept on FB.

The Hook-up is $65 now? That's a little too much to pay for a purse hook honestly....that alone made me buy the Clipa.
I've always loved the way "The Hookup" looked, and held off for years. Now that I finally bought my first designer handbag, *my Chanel Classic Flap*, I'm looking into these again and "The Hookup is now $110 for 14K gold plated and $125 for 22K gold plated. They've added a black color now and the three colors offered are gold, white gold, and black. Clipa runs $16-26 dollars.

I love my CLIPA. It's more subtle and I like that it comes in a ton of finishes. I have a brushed gold finish and it matches the hardware on most of my bags. I don't wear it on the outside of my bags but it's sturdy, and more subtle.

The Hookup thing looks to me a little hokey with the heart shape, and is not my taste.

Own some clipas.
Carry inside bags, for use as needed--look weird left on handle or worn as bracelets, imo.

Still mainly set bags on floors, chairs, tables--still a germy-wormy grubster, probably. ;)

Clipa holds bags UNDER table instead of to side--feels more secure, less obtrusive in tight areas. When no chair or table space, or need to watch bag closely.
Also, clipa width adjusts to fit/hang from toilet doors, metal handrails, flat surfaces--in case floor situation is intolerable.

I cannot forget the clipa.
I've tried.
Just snaps closed around handle, when I grab my bag, & comes along.
Idiot-proof, thank goodness. :)

I love my Clipa. It feels sturdy even though I use it on my "everything but the kitchensink"-bags, and I've never tried it not working on any surface. Plus I always get compliments when wearing it :)
