Bulgari
470 carats of Paraiba tourmalines
(I did not see this necklace in person, but it is on the social media of my Bulgari contact

I learned the most about these types of gemstones from the posts of @BigAkoya, so my thanks to her
I love Paraiba tourmalines! The Paraibas from Brazil are second to none. Brazilian Paraibas are the reference for top color, but fine quality large size stones are very pricey and rare. Fine Paraibas glow neon turquoise blue; they are stunning.

The Bulgari ones above are most likely Mozambique (just a guess based on what I see in the photo), which is still nice of course. One key difference is the hue and saturation. If you are thinking of getting this necklace, look at some Brazilian Paraibas for comparison.

Thank you! I edited my post to include Mozambique before I saw this bc it was in the instagram description, but of course you add so much in the way of description and education :)

ETA: oh no, this kind of thing is far above my budget and way too fancy for even my imaginary life lol

I always thought that Paraiba tourmalines were green, does it also describe blue?
In anycase that necklace is stunning.
Gaudy IMO.

Who are your fav top jewellery brands?
My three last purchases were VCA, but that means nothing. I love them all.
I was just surprised that the necklace use for a movie was actually real and not a prop. And gaudy or not, it could easily find its way to my jewelry box in the unlikely event, I hit the lottery.

It's kinda like turquoise so it could be considered green.
