The story behind
It was during a trip to South Africa that Alice Shirley was lucky enough to spot a giraffe, then two, then three, concealed behind the acacia tree on which they were feeding. Giraffes are the tallest animals on earth and their delicacy is immeasurable. Their movement is sweeping and elegant. They have panoramic distance vision and sleep very little, often standing. They prune the trees by feeding, and disperse seeds by moving around, living in perfect harmony with their environment. Conscious of the beauty and balance of nature, the house of Hermes pays homage to these graceful and poetic giants.

Even thought there are only few scarves that I really want I do like how they are experimenting: new shapes, double sided printing, textures, formats, more diversity in models and they even are allowed to have so many different expressions, from arrogant and bored to laughing:

Even though I might never wear it some of the ways shown I do enjoy looking at these variations. When it comes to deciding what to get I can still rely on this forum.
:flowers::flowers::flowers: to everybody posting here!

Can't wait to see what you picked up. Maybe something blue? :biggrin:

Ha, ha! Yes, I do love blue. I wish there were more purples, but I can’t really see any. I might add in a bandana this time as I have never bought one, but I really don’t have any space left. Also, I’m still very ill so am not really wearing scarves as I am constantly tired and cannot raise the energy to actually get dressed properly.

Thank you all you lovely people for the hard work, dedication and team spirit of sharing all these designs every season!

So far I'm 'whelmed'! Some not so exciting, repetitive colours and some quite fantastical whimsy. As always, I'm sure I'll warm up to and love more as the season gets into full swing.

Is it just me, or are there more re-issues of late than in the past???

I think there are about the same as always but they are more varied in formats.

Just looked through what is on the US website
I believe the men's origami horse head scarf will be called 'Se Plier au Jeu' as there is now a pair of Quicker sneakers with this print on the UK website.
I'm glad you posted this scarf, and the sneakers, which are great! So far of the collection I have seen: The Three Graces seem to be suffocating in a sea of color, and Plumes? Haven't seen a CW I love... I'm no fan of twillys, but I could go for that brown Ex Libris...
