When I went to pick up the Toucans I tried on Les Artisans in an orange/purple cw. I loved the design, but didn't love the orange, and talked myself out of it. Thought about it all the way home and saw it online in 11, bought it on impulse. FedEx just dropped it off earlier than expected, the perk of living by a major FedEx hub!

I still love the design. It's something I had to appreciate in person; all the tiny details and the Hermes easter eggs. It's not only beautiful, it celebrates the brand and its craftsmanship. Its a scarf lover's dream--beautiful corners with lots of interest that knot so perfectly! It think it will be one of those designs that ends up with grail status, and I'm afraid that if I pass now and regret it, I'll have to pay a premium later.

The only problem? I don't know that this cw is my favorite. Or more accurately, I worry that it's too similar to my Plumes. I didn't realize it, but the background is the exact same shade of blue, and they share many other colors. If I had my choice of any of the cws, I'd probably go with something yellow, maybe 15 or 03.

Thoughts? I'm not normally someone who shops on impulse, so I'm feeling a bit guilty. My collection is small, and I'd planned to try to maximize it by only buying scarves that were quite different from each other.

Honestly- this CW of Les A is perfect for you. It's the Plumes I would change out if you are worried about too much same same. That being said, sometimes there are seasons where you just dig a color combination (that was me a couple of seasons ago) and you also need to listen to that urge as well. A few seasons ago they had GP du Fbg in purple, Jaguar Quetzal in purple, Della Cav Fav in purple, and Della Cav in purple moussie, and I'd have been fine getting all of them in that purple color family they did! (I did control myself a little and got the GPduF in pink/green, but if I ever find that purple DC (at a price I can live with), I don't care that it's the same purple and am going to consider it.

In your case, as a compromise, keep both that you have in the green/blue, but make sure to go a different direction on your next scarf. :yes:

Beautiful! Though I had imagined you in the blue/green one of this scarf, I think this looks amazing on you (but I have it as well, so I am biased). (PS- I don't know if you wear denim, but this CW looks great with denim.)

Aw, thanks! I do think the initial twinge of guilt of making an impulsive buy is wearing off and I'm warming to the idea of keeping both. The Plumes is sentimental because it was my first H scarf, so I don't think I'd ever give it up. Fingers crossed that I fall for something in a completely different cw next season!

I litterally fantasized over the Cosmographia Universalis shawl, and was disappointed as I tried this exact colorway on this morning. The details are so fascinating, and they just disappeared when I put the shawl on. I purchased the Cité Cavalière, I'm showing it soon.
In any case, the Cosmographia looks great on you in this colorway :-)

Please do not give up on Cosmographia just yet. :hbeat: It is such fun to highlight the different details and to decide which animal will accompany you for the day. ;) Just a few examples (horsehead and monkey, seahorse, unicorn, elephant, horse):
