Thank you for this, Bunnycat! This is very helpful and there's little I enjoy more than seeing your scarf selections so I really do appreciate this feedback. I think I'll let this sit for a few days and make a decision later this week. Should one of my two preferences reappear, I'll pull the trigger. If not, I think I'll go for the Kawa Ora CSGM. I do think once I get back to work I'll find more use even in the warmer months. That air conditioning can be no joke! Thanks for helping my morale just a bitI'm sorry you missed out on a Tigre Fleuri! (I'm sure it will come back up again tho!)
As for CSGMs, I too live in central Texas and can tell you that I got my first CSGM last year (and now it has a fair number of "friends"). I find them quite useful here year round. I wore mine steadily throughout October to beginning of April as a scarf, and now that the weather is shifting (60 on the Saturday and 90 on Sunday???!!!) I am just changing how I wear them, but plan to continue using them in cold air-conditioning situations (assuming I ever get out of the house again...) But that is exactly how I used them last summer. My workplace was FRIGID and I needed long sleeves and a shawl indoors, but going outside needed to be able to quickly strip down to a t-shirt and then back again with the long sleeves and shawl when I went back in. They are perfect for that.
Kawa Ora is beautiful and ties so nicely.![]()
UGH. I wanted to purchase a birthday scarf this week. I was about an hour from pulling the trigger on the Tigre Royal Fleuri in Pink and now it's gone.I was also interested in the WOW pink and that's gone too.
I know I'm being a spoiled child during a pandemic where there's many more important things to worry about but I'm so disappointed!
Now I'm torn about waiting for one of these two to reappear or pick something else. I do have my eye on the Kawa Ora CSMG - which would be my first CSGM. But I live in Central Texas and likely won't be able to use this until next fall. Nothing in shipping from the US regardless so I know I shouldn't worry for a bit and play the whole thing by ear. Ordering a small birthday present was all that was keeping me going this past week or so.![]()
Happy birthday to you too!I can empathize. It was my birthday this month too. I had a twill in the cart as a birthday present to myself, as has been my ritual since the early 1990's. I could not bring myself to buy it for so many reasons. The color way is no longer available and I continue to feel a bit sorry, but I am fine with my decision. If they replenish the design with more color ways, then I will decide, if they do not, I will be fine. Instead I bought myself a stack of puzzles to keep my brain working and to distract myself and I am calling them my birthday presents.
Dittos to @bunnycat Advice from my perch on the cusp of Central and North Texas. You are where we two were a year ago...finding my CSGMs stay in almost year-round rotation thanks to bouncy outdoor temps and indoor ACs. Thank you for this, JBizzy! You and BunnyCat are making me feel better about the CSGM down here. I can see where the warmth is needed at times even in the warmer weather. The air conditioning in some cases can get REAL! That, and the fluctuating temps are making me think this may be my next purchase.Dittos to @bunnycat Advice from my perch on the cusp of Central and North Texas. an extra note—I carry ziplock bag for csgm storage in purse to avoid storage snag. You’ll get past that self-conscious feeling when folks stare at your folding and stuffing.Thank you for this, JBizzy! I love this. I am debating this in pink or mandarin. I love pink but just got the pink cosmographia. My last arrival
Ikat in pinks
Excuse the workout clothes.
Just a quick comment. It is so soft. Like, so, so soft. But it also seems very delicate.
Is this a mousseline? Gorgeous. My last arrival

It's the Ikat. Lighter than the normal cashmere and silk but not the same as mousseline. This one is softer. Is this a mousseline? Gorgeous.

Thanks for this heads up! I love this scarf so much but now I've bought two other scarves - one in pink. I'm so torn...The pink Tiger Royal is online right now.
ACK! I just bought this beauty. I couldn't contain myself even though my Grand Manege Bandana Love arrives tomorrow. (I bought this in place of the Tigre - but I'd always had a soft spot for the GMBL so I'm happy to have it.) I almost went for a different CW of the TRF, but I just can't resist this one. I think I need to enter a rehab for pink scarves.... Someone restrain meThe pink Tiger Royal is online right now.
