FOMO could be real here. People around with the first issue 70cm (2012?) would know better, but my experience in the last year-plus was resales were slim to nonexistent; overall, the surteints/dipdyes and CSGMs easier to come across even as word of the 90cm reissue came known. The few I’ve asked don’t intend to give up their 70s when they purchase the 90.
of course, H could have planned for this and make enuf for ongoing sales.
I finally received my CLF and it is very pretty, but not perfect. There are a few...not runs...but something in the fabric. I suppose it doesn’t really bother me too much, because then I don’t have to worry about doing it myself. I wonder if part of the reason they are trickling in so slowly to the stores is that there are some quality issues with some batches?
I found exactly the same small imperfections in one of my CLFs ! Not a run but exactly the same imperfection as in your pictures !
I received lately a call from Hermes -Paris CS and the lady asked me about the purchase of CLFs ( I bought them on-line).She was interested if I like the design and if I am satisfied. Seems that there might be an issue with CLFs....
I agree. I wonder if it will be an issue with other designs of double-sided scarves?
I'm in Canada & I had the same issue with each of the ciel and turquoise colourways - but in my case I thought they looked more like runs (although not as bad as the members who posted scarfs with the red dots adjacent to quite obvious runs!). Both scarfs had come in sealed boxes with the wrapping still on - and my SA had broken the cellophane to show them to me. I bought the turquoise cw & brought it home without checking the solid coloured side (I ALWAYS check the patterned side before I leave the store for pulls/runs around the hems,etc. which I can't tolerate) only to find 4 "pulls" on the solid coloured side. At $700 cad I am just not prepared to accept this type of "flaw" (?) so took it back today to exchange for the ciel cw I had on hold - and on close examination that one also had a pull from the hem on one side to the other, again on the solid coloured side. Even the SA was shocked. I don't know if it's a quality control or manufacturing issue with the double-sided scarfs in general or with this design in particular, but it just doesn't work for me. If I can't find one without these "imprefections" I not buying, even though I love the design.
I need to check the solid color sideafter reading your post! I hope more of this design come in that do not have these imperfections!
