So I got Robe du Soir today.
The Idea behind it, was to get a formal scarf. A scarf, not to be noticed. A scarf that is very wearable.
I was deciding between this and the Clic Clac Tattoo which was really nice and more fresh looking but I thought the darker base would work better with most of my clothes.
To be honest, I love more color. This design itself is really gorgeous.
Is it even too neutral?
Beautiful! And perfect with your jacket!

Of course colors are exciting, but we need neutral scarves too. I think this looks super nice on you. It's subtle and has just enough details when tied. It's also a wearable/neutral CW like you said.

Plus I love that it's Robe du Soir, so when you shake it out, you can admire the horse design too. I think it's a solid choice!

I think it's lovely ninakt but you need to follow what your own heart says! It looks very adaptable and may be a great one for wearing with a patterned or coloured outfit that calls for scarf restraint. I tend to buy plainer tops these days because my scarves are all quite busy so this would be a good counterbalance. [emoji4]

I think it looks stunning on you, and in fact creates more impact in a chic tone on tone way than a colourful scarf.
I think it's a design that can appear quite old school neutral when flat , but which ties in a really cool contemporary way.

I have to say, I tried this scarf hopefully and enthusiastically (for similar reasons). I thought it would be a done deal. It's a beautiful design and super-elegant colour but tied was too safe on me, it also reminded me of my (oranges/peaches) Coup de Fouet which I don't wear enough anyway.

However, your colouring looks sooooo much better with it than mine and I think it's everything on you than I'd hoped for, for myself. It looks elegant, chic, sophisticated and professional if worn for work. Have no doubts.

BTW I bought Ndop which does everything I wanted RdS to do and have a renewed interest in CdF so it was a worthwhile exercise.

As seen upthread, I returned that cw because the navy wasn't a strong enough contrast to the black in anything but bright light - for me. The pareo is more translucent so the navy pops a bit.

However, it's still a gorgeous scarf! I only returned it because it didn't match the picture in my head. If I'd thought of it first as a black with blue/white braiding scarf, I'd have kept it. It looks great on you!

Thank You saranga and you are right about neutrals.

Thank You Pautinka! I was thinking the same about balancing an outfit. Often pink is too much too close to my face, warmer tones are the worse. This scarf cuts the pinky piggy efect quite well.

Thank You papertiger! I tryed the scarf again today, it is a matter of getting used to it, cause it is so safe.It feels like a non Hermes scarf and maybe that is giving me some doubts. It is so nice to get others opinions here.
It is a perfect work scarf in this CW. Did You post pics of Your Ndop?

Fizzy I read about Your thoughts about it and it is nice, that You found the pareo. It is intresting to see, if I will wear this scarf a lot or not. It should be the easiest scarf to take, if doubts what to wear.

Thank You everyone. I wish I had You all with me at the store. I dont know why it seems to be so difficult to decide alone. It must be, that all the scarves just are so beautiful, so rehomable, haha!

I'm not sure you can see how nice the scarf is in this terrible selfie but it's kind of Modern, trad and edgy all at the same time
