LOL shame on you, BBC!

Aw you know I have no shame, SDSurfChick!!! [emoji8][emoji8][emoji8] and of course every so often I have to crack myself up...and see if anyone else is paying attention. I guess that means maybe you googled the other epic fail [emoji23]

Maybe your ears were ringing this week? SD director went to Wall Street a few months ago. [emoji177][emoji254] Miss you [emoji254][emoji177]

Those "Epic Fails" cracked me up, BBC. I had to puzzle out the drowning sign. Finally figured it out: clearly signage designed in pre-texting days!
I generally agree with those who are less than delighted with many of the color combinations offered this year. Though I am seeing lots of members looking awesome in colorways I didn't love in the abstract. Sometimes a scarf has to be worn to really come into its own!

There's tons of them...I'm always looking for fun things to text my DSs just to amuse or annoy them (optimally, both).

Yes, I agree many have to be seen or tried on IRL, and am hopeful.

I know I've been rather silly about this, but I think it's just better to joke about it because honestly, I'm pissed. It's like they don't really know or care about their scarf customer. I mean, let's start with this rmisguided idea to use the same color schemes across the board, two of which are predominantly red/pink, two of which are predominantly yellow, one is monochromatic darker blues, one is purple with yellow. Many of the same color combinations over and over. These color schemes are Zero jewel tones, Zero bold non-monochromatic neutrals. That doesn't mean that there aren't some beautiful pieces that will work for people, but there is very little variety this season . Like everything was designed for a niche with no mass appeal.

So I joke, but...not really.

+1

Glad I am not the only one. MAYBE cw 3 has promise but that’s it. Sad.

@BBC epic fail, indeed.

Hello Twin! You look amazing!
Thank you, dear Ladybaga, so glad we are twins!

Sharing my new Ex-Libris 90cm silk from this season.
As an H scarf aficionado, I wanted this classic design in colours I love and can wear often. Happy that cw60 (in anthracite/ marine/ blanc) fits all of my requirements!

I love all your posts, from epic fails to this comment about the formulaic colors this season. The formula they actually call "purplish" (did an adult make that up???) makes all the scarves in that category look alike, IMO. And I even bought the Grand Prix in that CW.

ITA about the colorways, BBC and moma. This seems to me clearly a money-saving approach--only one limited set of inks required for ALL the 90s. And this regardless of whether these colors maximize every design or suit a variety of complexions. I'm voting with my wallet this year on the silks.

I want to thank all of you who “liked” or commented on my last post. I will try to get around to thanking you personally, but if I don’t, please be assured that your kindness is so appreciated. I feel very alone as my friends and wider family give me so little support. My sons and DH are brilliant, but they don’t appreciate my scarf love. My scarves and small accessory collection really help to keep my spirits up.

Thank you all, wonderful scarfies :heart::heart:
Hi HH! I think you're comments are really wonderful and speak to the best of what social networking and forums like this can aspire to. (Sorry for the dangling preposition.) I often feel very unsure in my commenting here because I'm so new to the scarfie world, but your comments remind me that a forum such as this is about much more than scarves, it's about support. And many times you don't even realize how a kind word can really lift a mood or make a person feel special. Thank you for reminding me of this!

And btw, I think the lavenders in your JQ are stunning with your eyes and will only become more stunning as you grey-out.

:hugs:
