I did my scarf study. The double face scarves weighed the same as the new single face. Well, my Clair de Lune was 1 gram heavier, actually, 72 g instead 71 g, but individual scarves can vary by that much. Della Cavalleria Favolosa and La Danse des Chevaux were 1 g lighter at 70 g. Route 24, Formule Chic and my single face La Folle Parade were all 71 g.

Thanks for the information. When travelling with only carry on luggage - 5kg allowance, every gram counts. Gotta take some scarves - might as well be 2 in 1.

I’m so sorry it didn’t work out for you…if anyone else is having this issue, I would be happy to post tying methods which avoid this. I personally love the starry areas, but its possible to tie it either way.
