Aaaand it begins!
Just bought my first scarf of the season, and am so happy!
My store actually got a pretty big shipment, which is great. They got it this afternoon, so I waited about an hour(!) for the SA to unpack it - and boy am I glad I did: they had received one of my “must haves” for the season: Boucles et Galons du Tsar in cw 11. Pic below is from h.com (already publicly published) with my added notes... Will try to get some mod pics this weekend.
I was surprised how much I liked the Boucles et Galons. It’s a print that doesn’t grab you at first glance, especially in a season filled with such whimsical and colorful designs. This one sneaks up on you, almost to the point that you can’t stop thinking about it! At least that’s in my case - so I’m seriously contemplating adding it to my wash collection.

I love this! Thanks for posting. This might pull me into the boutique to take a peek!

Sorry to be clueless..what is “wash?” Is this another H technique to make it look vintage?
Yes, another technique to make it look vintage
To me, the scarves look "washed out" - a pejorative term that I hate to use but it accurately conveys my impression
Probably an acid wash - remember acid (sand) washed jeans? The acid makes the silk feel different - acid washed jeans were softer
They show an extra photo of each wash scarf - on h.com site - the photo is a closeup showing how the colors are duller or washed out looking

Here is another cw of Boucles et Galons

Unfortunately, this color does not suit me well.

Yeah, I also found the colors on wash scarf unimpressive. I have a hot pink Equateur maxi twilly in regular silk from this season. Compared to the pink 90 wash, mine is a hundred times more brilliant and striking. Plus the wash scarves feel thinner and cheaper to the touch, IMO. I'm not a fan of them.

I feel EXACTLY the same way about this one...already texted my SA!

I know, it was really the model pic on h.com that opened my eyes to it, I think.
It’s really not the type of scarf that I usually go for, but that gorgeous camel shade (not too grey)...Yum. And then the softness of washed silk as an added bonus made it absolutely irresistible
Get it - I’m sure you’ll love it too :drinks:

It seems the theme at this very moment is Boucles et Galons du Tsar, because - although the scarves are not in store until after 1 July in my area - I was at the Trunk Show this afternoon and they had a Boucles top in that exact colorway that we've only seen from online post and not "in the wild" until now...I can't wait to see yours, @TammyPrincess77 because if the scarf is just like the top, I am lost this season. The Tweed and Leather theme...I'm in deep, deep trouble...View attachment 4467076

Between this and the same CW in Acte III (CW 22) and Cité, I think I'm going to be filling my brown/gray quota tres rapidement.
Yes, I think you may be in trouble!
It’s difficult to say for sure if the colors are exactly the same in the top as in the scarf, due to such different lights in your pic vs what I’m in right now (with the scarf), but they do look an awful lot alike

I completely forgot to take any pics while in the store, but there’s a very pretty pink & blue cw of Jungle Love Rainbow (90) that I can’t recall seeing here.
Certainly worth keeping an eye out for, for anyone who likes that color combo.
There was also a kind of multi-color Bolduc that had a lot of hot pink and orange, which reminded me of Animapolis cw 1 (ss ‘19); also very pretty but I was too focused on the items already on my wishlist to take a closer look at it.

I was at Madison today. The service has gotten even worse, if such a thing is possible. Anyway, I was able to see some of what they had for this season's scarves:

- Index Palmarum: several CWs, including black, navy and pink
- La Cité Cavalière: only one CW, dark blue with a yellow contrast hem (loved the design, not the CW, sadly)
- Zebra Mountain: one very colorful CW
- The SA mentioned they had Pâtisserie Française (the orange CW is on the wall) and Jungle Love Rainbow also, but did not show them to me
- Brides de Gala Shadow: one CW in pink/red
- Bolduc: several CWs, including blue, pink
- Brides et Galons du Tsar carré wash: several CWs including a neutral silver, the red that QueenieQ modelled, a pink, and another one I can't remember
- Kachinas: several CWs, all of which have been shown here

They also had several CWs of the Jardin de Leila, Maison des Carrés and Peuple du Vent CSGM. I also spotted a few CWs of the Petit Duc silk GM. And losanges and other formats.

Supposedly the scarves are machine washable... I would never try that in a million year with a US washing machine! And I've handwashed my scarves for years anyway...
I don't mind the look and feel - I picked up a nice CW of Equateur. I do mind that H charges quite a bit more than for the regular carrés! But they seem to be the only way they are reissuing classic designs now without mashups or garish colors...
