The challenge is the colouration and scale of the designs are similar. Try them all and pick only the very best. If you need a 'back-up' go for another but (even though I have a few didn't buy regrets) I'd say 1. only buy your favourite (of course they'd all work for you) 2. Hermes always has something fabulous waiting just round the corner.

Thank you!

I should put this on a large piece of poster board and pin it up above my desk!

Do we know if we have seen all the colourways for mountain zebra and the Pegase paysane (so? Sorry!) wash scarf? Are there usually a specific number of cws they produce? TIA!:flowers:

That chocolate etc Patiserrie is going to kill me too. I wasn't even thinking about that scarf design 'till I saw your choc/caramel/toffee/coffee version  . There's a part of me that is glad it's not edible, I can have all my cake and eat it too, time and time and time again.

Brown scarves obviously used to be popular judging by how many were made years ago (l o n g t I m e - like '70s). I have noticed that out of all the cws of vintage scarves they are often the most reasonably priced. This makes me think brown scarves don't sell that well ATM. Do I care? I snap them up!

I prob will only get one design per colour family. Same designs in different colours can look completely different, very different designs in similar cws fine. But similar designs in very close colourations just don't make sense. Alice Shirley has a few different scales but her style is unmistakable I need a unique Zebra from AW18 or there's no point. Also I'm having a hard time not repeating cws of Act IIIs from 90 < CSGM too.

Please slap me if you see me eating my pastry scarf! :P
I have noticed my chocolate consumption has risen about 10 percent since buying the scarf.
Speaking of browns, tan and caramel colorations, my first was Ex Libris in Camouflage. I’ve loved that scarf since I purchased it years ago. My scarf buying started 10 years ago, so I was not familiar with those brown based beauties of the 1970s.

As far as the Mountain Zebra, I don’t know which I will choose. I did take pics of my two English Garden Alice Shirley scarves so that I don’t repeat colorways for the Zebra. I know I don’t want the orange MZ because it will compete with my orange/brown/yellow Zebra Pegasus.

Although we say that H always has something fabulous waiting around the corner, as a (multiple) decades-collector, it can be a long time between seasons and cws that really suit us individually.

For me, in the past decade, there have only been two other seasons that have had as good cws and designs as this one. Some may appear similar but I find that they suit different outfits and give a different vibe. So I am not holding back. Most seasons have one or two things that I like, but very few (in my experience), have had so many items that I like! It’s as if the possibility of serious recession hit H two years ago and they decided to go ‘all out’ to appeal to both their established and new customers, and thus ensure good revenue and growth!

Yes, this season is taking a big chunk of my paycheck, but I really wear my scarves and always have.
So I’m loving it!
(BUT, I always pay the bills FIRST, then hit my local H store.)

I was hoping it would have the opposite effect!

You have to go vintage for the brownest decade ;).

I'm seeing my Under the Ocean in the brown cw and my Bond St reopening cw Jardin may be too close to another two of this seasons. I don't mind a slight overlap with the ZPs because they are on a different scale but I know what you mean. I can't wait to try them on now.

Judging from past seasons there are no fixed numbers but it tends to be around the 9 - 12 mark for 90s. I feel we've seen most (thanks to @LadyCupid and others too). Don't forget some cws never appear on h.com.

That is so true about the difference in scale with the ZP and MZ. My Zebra on ZP is also brown, whereas the MZ zebra is black and white. It will be fun to try on the various colorways to see which MZ works for me. I adore your Under the Waves. Those colors in that one look so beautiful with your tweed jackets. (You have always been a style icon to me! I still remember posts of your ExLenC, which inspired me to buy the brown/tan version. Happy Shopping! I can't wait to see what you bring home.)
