Personally, I prefer the 36 since the 30 is not as roomy. For me, a GP is a workhorse and I use it for work and errands. The 30 is a bit shallow to stuff any paperwork in and I would put my scarf or a shawl if needed in the 36. Some people argue that it can get heavy but that goes with all bags anyway.

Thank you chkpfbeliever! I love that I have extra room for hat, gloves, scarf during the cold winter weather

Mine is the vache country leather. I got it because it is so nice and sturdy but also weighs a tonne! I went shopping with it once and after a while my arms started to ache!
I think yours is the heavier leather but I'm sure it will wear better! I felt negonda was a lot lighter than vache country. But vache country will be way sturdier I think, as someone said before. Mine flops a lot.

Do you carry your GP36 on your shoulder? I am looking at getting a work purse that fits my laptop. Thanks!

I have at times when I've my laptop inside the GP36. The handles are long enough unless you are wearing really thick coat. I love this bag as a workhorse.

Thanks for the response! I was wondering if I can shoulder carry it all the time. Is it comfortable being carried that way? I tried it at the store but of course I only held it for a minute. The handles weren't that long to begin with but I was wondering if it gets comfortable being shoulder carried over time.

Hi ladies! I am thinking of buying a garden party for my niece who is starting a new job and could definitely use a nice under the radar bag. She owns a 28cm kelly which she uses for special occasions or non work events. How do you find the weight of a 36cm garden party? Also, do you all travel with your garden party and are you able to nest a 28cm kelly inside of a garden party on an airplane? She is traveling to Chicago soon for both a wedding and a training seminar for work and I was hoping to surprise her with a new bag before she leaves. Please let me know your thoughts! Thanks so much!:)

The handles will get softer with use, but even broken-in, I don't find them as comfortable as my Longchamp le Pliage bags or my LV Totally. Both of those bags have flatter handles, which makes them more comfortable over the shoulder. The GP can be worn over the shoulder, but it was really intended -- and designed to be -- a hand-carry bag.

Hi, i'd like to ask for an opinion. I cannot decide to take a garden party 30 negonda leather in gold OR a gardent party 30 epsom in rouge casaque. Which one do you think is worth investing based on the color and leather combo? Actually i already have a bolide bougenvilea epsom which is pretty similar to rouge casaque epsom, and that is my hesitation on the RC GP. While gold is a classic colour however the leather is negonda which will sags with time.
Anyone has any other opinion is greatly appreciated. :)

To my knowledge, the garden party is not made in Epsom leather.

Wow lucky niece! I love the gp36 as it's an all-around bag. My k32 can fit comfortably inside it when you release the side buttons. So I think the k28 will fit even with the buttons closed. It's a light bag for me,but of course if you fill it up it will be painful on the shoulder or arms.
