Hi all! I am new in this forum and was so thrilled after a couple visits I found my first Hermes during my honeymoon trip today! I was first given a blue one (like blue orage) then the orange by the SA and finally we picked the Rouge Duchess 36 with quadrige lining....

I wasn't too aware of the different lining in the beginning as it is my first purchase. Was it suppose to be a special edition?

And so grateful to have found this forum! Can't find much info elsewhere...

Congrats on your first Hermes and hope you've had a fabulous honeymoon trip! [emoji4] I was new to Hermes too and was told the Quadrige lining is indeed a limited edition kinda bag. It uses different leather than the chevron lining version. I've never seen it in person though...
Do you mind sharing the picture of your beautiful bag? How do you describe the vache country leather? Is it soft to the touch? Or is it very stiff and structure? I'm looking to buy one soon too... Thanks!

There are two types of leather for the GP. Negonda is softer and will slouch with use. Vache Country is a firmer leather that H started using two years ago and does not slouch. It is not too rigid and is a thicker leather. Both types of leather comes in Chevon canvas lining. The Quadrige lining is limited and a printed lining. As most GPs are now made in Vache Country, I think it is not too easy to find Negonda unless it is older stock. Both Negonda and Vache Country is a pebbled type of leather and not soft but bear in mind that it is not an embossed leather. It is still natural grain but not going to extra smooth.

If you want to see more pics of GP, go to the reference thread for GPs and there are lots of nice photos.

Hi all, I have a question to ask and hope to get some insights:
Will you choose a vache country black GP36 with Quadrige lining OR an Etoupe with negonda leather with plain lining? These are the only options available and would like to hear which one you'll pick? I actually like the Negonda leather as they're water resistant, and I don't mind the smoosh look, but I also love love love the Quadrige lining. Is vache country also water resistant like the Negonda? Is black too plain? Please help! Thanks

Personally i love garden partys in bright colors. The negonda leather is fabulous!!! But i do love the quadrile lining...so special!!! Here is my bougainvillea gp 36

The etoupe sounds fab!

Just wanting to share my first GP! In one of my dream Colours - Gris T!! And they told me it's a old season Color so I have kind of given up till I received an unexpected call received from SA! I so totally fell in love with it and the leather smell is just so great!!

I can't really find the stamp although it looks like a x or maybe there really is no stamps anymore.

Anyway, now on hunt on a bag organiser and rodeos. 🤗

Mine is bright but now I'd like a neutral too, I think they're one of my favourite bags across all brands.
