Dear Scafies and Silkies, i am so torn 
I have just been to the H store, they got my thought-to-be-great cw of PauG and i eagerly grabbed it, but it looked so lame on me
I could not make myself pull out the credit card
It looked all messy with no whatsoever print, no matter which corner i was turning it up/front.... shall i go for it and just try more ways of wrapping at home without rush? Or, give up and just look for something else instead??
Btw, i am wearing CSGM Cavaliers du Caucase and got compliments on IT and not on the PauG

Buy what you love. What works for one will not work for all, so don't try to talk yourself into something that isn't for you!
Hello dear, i have the pirouette au Galopin this colorway and the marine. Love both to bits. Yes, the pattern in open, and i actually prefer having a shawl that is not busy with patterns like the AF shawls now and then. I love wearing white but this shawl being creamier ivory white is not as easy on some. I wear mine with greys, strioes, navy and beige tops.
But you must love it and make you feel wonderful at these prices. Also, did you try the marine colorway? It is quite stunning on and has a very different vibe. If you did not love it on, then pass. I do try my shawls on with several outfits before passing for sure. Bring a few other tops with you that are your favorites if you are on the fence. You will know for sure then.hugs, L.
P.s i modeled the Galop shawl on my IG. Favorite way of wearing this is tied like a cocoon jacket to show off the drawings.

Thank you, Lovelies, appreciate your quick response and intel, i wanted to check the blue ones, either PauG or Flamboyant web, the FW had an awfully pulled thread, so that was out of question, besides, 100 cm is not what i want, PauG is available only in this cw, with orange trim, and grey with different colour horses, that's not my cw at all.
I can't come back too quickly with different tops to play and see how it would work, but i did like how ivory was complimenting my skin tone. I just didn't figure out how to show the print off

I agree with @Mindi B, @lanit, and @litchi. If you're going to spend mornings saying, "Today I am going to wear it!" and then trying it a dozen different ways before finally grabbing another one that just seems better, don't do it.
When you're in the boutique, you should come home only with what sings to you in both color and pattern when it is on you.
I finally bought the marine after lusting after it for months and love the look of it but not entirely sure about it on me-then I was in store and saw a beautiful grey with green trim which I hadn't seen before and immediately remembered how it's supposed to feel when something works! Trust your instinct.
- Definitely trust your instincts. I happen to wear mine this morning to keep the chill off the shoulders. The pattern could overwhelm a petite gal, though my friend is petite at 5’’2 ish and carries it well in the marine. Just a quick side by side for others looking into this design. Hth.

Great idea to match the cream PauG with grey horses with something in grey, lanit. Your top becomes an "anchor" for the wistful sketches and pulls the outfit together. Would work well with a grey dress, I think. Hopefully, your photos inspire!
