It's spectacular in person. Until recently (had twins!) we summered there every year. In the photo of the gardens you can see elements of the scarf.
The friend that I visited in Houston, the Craftmaster at the Alley Theatre, was enthralled with the Jardin de Sintra. He had visited a couple of years ago and had a beautiful booklet. We were able to identify some of the architectural elements in the scarf of course. His favorite CW was 04 which I did purchase in Houston. The sales staff in Houston was delightful and eagerly showed me all their Fall Stock. They indicated that they had sold out their whole allotment of that special Twilly with the hearts and the heart box ( all 50 of them) in the first week.

My Houston friend introduced me to the Hermes scarf in the early 1980's when he was thrilled to find a couple of vintage H in an antiques store in Sellwood ( a neighborhood in Portland Oregon). I was able to introduce him to the H website and TPF this visit. He was excited for my new passion and had, until now, no understanding of the breadth of the design in the H scarf line.

Dear cavalla, eagle1002us and klynneann, I agree with you all on NDOP -- the "surprise" scarf for me this FW 2017. I find most of the cw's of this design beautifully balanced (the photos on the website seem off compared to colours irl).

Inspired by cavalla's 140cm silk Beta in vert amande and vieux rose, I'm drawn to NDOP in cw07 in vieux rose/absinthe/beige.

I have managed to avoid the NDOP so far this season, though I think it will be one of the most versatile and best looking tied. I will say that one of the SA's told me that H thinks that NDOP will be the "it" scarf of the season and have invested a lot in it. So nice to have access to my laptop and be able to post again. I picked up two Sintra in Houston CW 02 and CW 06. Also the CW 13 Flowers of South Africa. Loved buying there but did not like the sales tax. At least when buying in Seattle they do not charge out of staters.

Houston also had several CW's of Horse Awards ( maybe 4). I was tempted by a really interesting one that had an off color of yellow/brown. You can see it on all en I believe. Did not dare ask to take a picture there as I was too new there and they were very nice to me.

I saw that colourway about a week ago. I'm seriously considering it. It's absolutely beautiful. Much nicer than the online pictures would lead one to believe.

Loved your photos, lynn. Congrats on getting your Fall scarves early!

NDOP was a good discovery for me; this design's colour combinations are lovely! It's also a Cameroonian textile print and I can share it next time SotD has a "far away" theme. ;)

Interesting comment from the SAs! I agree that Ndop will be a versatile scarf....I also don't own anything with a geometric/abstract pattern that is how I'm justifying it Congrats on flowers of SA CW13 that is a beautiful CW! I'd love to see pics!
