I think, actually, it would be "chandail laid," not "laid chandail." I, of course, quite like this scarf.

What do you mean "taking the p*ss? :confused1: I don't feel that way at all.

Chandail laid and laid chandail translate to the same thing. I just did that in fun. I wanted to see if anyone would get it.

And yes, the translation of the two words isn't dependent on their order, but grammatically I think the adjective in this case follows the noun it modifies (usual in French).
