Have confirmation of the C'est la Fete in cashmere/silk in the Men's collection.

Two of the CWs will be:
- Bleu chine/marine/marine
- Gris chine fonce/noir/turq

Both CWs sound beautiful. I am still waiting for the size information and should have that this afternoon.

Am putting my name down for both CWs.

Mindi, hope this is helpful.

Everyone, your advice please - I know in the past we've had to be careful about talking to our SAs before the collection was out, but if this shawl creates half as much of a to-do as the 70 cm did, well, I certainly don't want to miss out on it (as I did on the 70 cm b/c it was before my time with H). And this would be the first CSGM I purchase directly from H (I have one that was "new to me" when I purchased it). Suggestions for etiquette/protocol on approaching this with our SAs? This past season my SA shared the store's silk purchase list with me, but I don't remember how far in advance of when the collection actually started trickling in that he did so. Perhaps I should just mention that I would love to see that information again this season and kind of take it from there? TIA!

I think it truly does depend on the relationship you have with your SA, and perhaps also on the attitude your SA/boutique has toward tPF. Mine knows I am active here, and while she's fine with it, she has also suggested I don't generally advertise the fact. So, I've already e-mailed her privately about ClF (:p) because I know she will keep a secret watch for me (with her mad Hermes :ninja: skills). But if you really want to keep your on-line activities on the down-low, your approach sounds good.

Ladies, thanks for your discretion with your SAs otherwise it will become impossible for me to pass on this information. How close you are to your SA dictates how you communicate with her or him.

I am indeed very hopeful that the C'est la Fete is a CSGM as I was told ~ twice ~ but you never know with H. If you love it as I do I would definitely put your name on the H list for it.

Also, I am sure that there are more than just two CWs, so if anyone discovers more CWs, please let us know, thanks.

Thank you, both. :smile1: :flowers:

It does depend on your relationship with your SAs and you have to bear their workload and patience in mind but I find that once the press day pictures and accessories presentations are done and public the light is green to start discussing what you've seen and what you really want. If you catch your SAs on a good day they will have access to the book which records ( with black and white pictures) all the things their store has bought for the season and if what you want is there in the c/w you are itching to see then nice things can happen! Doesn't always work - or others could have got there before you. But it is possible.

I did notice when I was last trawling through all the London stores that if I wanted anything in particular the first question back was 'have you got a picture'? - probably to do with my awful French pronunciation but I thought it was a sign that the SAs generally are stepping up to their clients being web-savvy and not just passively awaiting random stock to come to the stores.
Go get what you want!

I agree it depends entirely on your relationship with your SA. Over the years, mine has known what I'd like and has been able to accommodate me, even when locating it from another boutique. She knows I'm patient, which makes it easier. We do it all by phone/text/email.

^ Totally agree with all of the above and my SA and I usually email ~ my prefered mode of communication. I usually start my questions with her with the following opening, " Rumor has it there will be a C'est la Fete/Kachinas/Dallet CSGM this F/W. Would you be able to confirm this and the CWS as there are quite a few that I am interested. Totally understand if it is too early too talk about this".

I do express specifically what I am interested in and give her a polite way out of not talking about it with me. More often than not the result is positive and I can preview the entire order.

So be gentle with your SAs as they must remain in strict compliance with their management.
