Thank you all for your input.
During the last days the scarf was marinating in it's open box next to my desk. Every now and then I touched it and liked the silk. The colors are great. I just could not send it back...
So this morning I removed the paper tag, put it on and went to get something blue or navy to wear with it.
As much as I like my watery light blues and teal I own almost nothing true blue or navy.
After some cashmere sweaters where I either did not like the color or the shape I finally found a very soft and warm navy dress. A heavenly combination (thanks, PocketbookPup). Isn't it ironic how we accessorize our accessoires?
And every time I took the scarf off and on and every time I looked at it in the fitting rooms and windows I liked it more. How could I think about sending it back?
The design allows for so many different looks depending on how it is tied, the giant silks are so nice to wear and drape so easily (thanks, MYH).
And it pairs nicely with my existing reds - very matchy-matchy, but not an overkill.
Here is a pic with fall leaves my SO took when heading out in the morning, no pic yet with the navy dress. (I am sorry about some sloppy details on the photo, but my SO is not like Jamie Chua's photographers...)
