After GG's post of her purple tyger, I thought it was time to pay full tribute to the incredible words of William Blake. When I took the time to really READ the poem (which I hadn't done, since I was a college freshman) it amazed me how well the carré captures Blakes stanzas.

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

and for all the tiger's ferocity, we have murdered nearly all for so called sport and ripped away their forest home in the name of progress. No wonder the tiger looks so sad on AS' scarf.

I always love meeting a fellow redhead. His tail is absolutely incredible!!!! Along with the rest of his magnificent self!!! Don't get me started on how terribly we have treated and continue to treat our fellow animals!!!! My greatest love and passion is animal welfare. Maybe his sad face will spur other people to think about our four legged friends and take action....

I'm still new to posting, so I haven't quite figured out yet how to respond to multiple people in one post, so I apologize for that.

I've attached a photo of CdC 04 flat. It's not the greatest pic, but I think you can get the gist of it.

I will say that I am terrified of seeing what else comes out, as this season might be really painful for my wallet. I will try to observe without temptation!
