Thank you, it took a while; 3 different shopping trips and another on-line but it was worth it, no second best with H

That's such sweet compliment, I am really touched. I wear my scarves every day so they have to work for me ;)

Some of the scarves have only just come in to the various stores and my usual H had hardly any of the CWs I wanted.

Yup, the CWs of the paddocks .

I don't have a vintage one but I've always wanted the design (my family were in racing professionally). This year's crop seem either too bright or dark for me. The mastic was really pretty and fun, but I wasn't sure about the bright pink or orange horses. The blue and the pink are fab colours for others but in the end too much on me. I suppose the dark purple and the grey worked best, but there was so much of that cool, steel grey I couldn't really get away with it (my SA hated it on me) maybe I should try the purple again :shrugs: I can't get out of my mind a vintage one that was olive green. I find the past versions more 'realistic'.... :shrugs:

Thank you cherryblossum, haven't had much time to linger in the stores lately so actually a bit stressful this season but I feel happy with my 5. Your choices have been wonderful congratulations to you too

Well, when one likes something...:p 100% no regrets, I find ZP both delightful as a design and ties really well

Oh paper tiger, do try the purple paddock again. I wasn't sure about the colors just like you. After many tries I settled on the purple, which I brought home to find worked so well with many outfits I hadn't anticipated. This is a photo of it when I just threw it on with a tee to run to the grocery store. Arabesques also chose prune and has posted much better photos. But you don't need advice from me. You have a beautiful collection.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1442661705.856228.jpg

Adore your choices PT! So far the zebra MT is not working for me so I think either the pochette or looking for a CSGM from earlier season might be on my list. The Tyger Tyger takes care of the striping effect too.i did bring home a little wrist candy that might interest you. I have you to thank for even daring to go in that direction.

Re: the Le Clerc, I adore the mastic with bright pops. That is the one I am going with. Neutral but you can see the lovely drawings and the yellow and primary colors makes me swoon.

Can't wait to see you model these!

While you're all anticipating SS16 I'm just catching up with AW15. Love the cws this season, mostly muted, 'muddied' greys/greens/blues but also a shock pink on pink and psychedelic Zebra gav

I now have every format in ZP H has made so far ;)

It took me 3 shopping trips to find my 5 :D. I think I have to give up my Paddock dreams though

Altogether

Congrats on your purchases - really really beautiful. I especially like the CDC maxi twilly - it is so pretty - might have to look at this design again! (the temptation never seems to end and talk about Spring 2016 has already begun!)

ps. Hope you don't have to give up on your Paddock dreams.

I am so loving the purple paddock on u Pocketbook Pup!!! I NEED a scarf/shawl in this color!! Beautiful!!

I'm afraid if I'm interrupting my dearest papertiger's beauties, but I just wanted to share my Collections Imperiales on my wardrobes to see how they work. together. I finally picked up cw 14 fucshia/very/noir, and 07 rose/bleu/vert. On the pic of cw 14 the yellow line stands out but it is not so annoying IRL. Very intricate silvery lines and the frieze in grey are very beautiful on black and grey or silver.

Oh cherryblossum beautiful pairings!!! I have yet not ventured into the Collection Imperiales but after seeing these beauties I think it may just be time!!

re: Paddock

The new colorizations look great on paper but I found most of them hard to wear for my medium sallow complexion. I only took the white/black home wth me. To go with my white/brown Paddock from 2004. ;););)
The Rouge cw was pretty but it was too similiar to my 1950s RougeH Paddock, which I value greatly as it's a perfect match to my RougeH bags.

The Kaki cw from 2004 that Papertiger is referring to was absolutely gorg. I used to have it. It was like the kaki version of the Prune cw: tonal and subtle. I call it Kaki rather than olive bc the background color had a lot of brown tinge. It was the only cw that was made specifically for the Men Dept and was usually displayed in the men section and was harder to find.

Thank you eternal love. There are so many nice purples this season. Paddock was perfect for me because the other colors picked up the colors of my bags.

Seton, I get what you are saying about coloring. I happen to be extremely pale...errrr....fair so I'm like a blank canvas I suppose. And I actually changed my hair color recently to be more neutral in order to wear more colors of scarves. I'm betting I'm not the only silkie to make such a crazy move for love of my scarves. Or maybe I am.

So this so dramatic on you PbP! A stunning colorway!

I looks great on you, that is a a clever way of tying it to bring out the mid section!

I promise to revisit

I tried every other colour of ZP MT before I saw this cw actually existed on H.com US, I knew it would be the one, though obviously the UK buyers didn't think it would be very popular. Only 1 in Bond St. that was snapped-up by an SA for her uniform (I don't blame her ha ha) and 1 for Selfridges - they kept it in the store room luckily for me.

Can't wait to see the wrist candy :graucho:

The CSGM softens the ZP's stripes. If I only had one shawl this would be it, it doesn't look like anything else and depending on whether the wings or the stripes are to the front, it totally changes character.

The Mastic background Paddock is really pretty which will translate into Spring and Summer too, again it's really unusual for H. This CW look OK on me but I wouldn't wear it unless I was in a happy mood :D

I think the ZP and the CDC designs makes really good MTs (I haven't bought one since the Brazils). I'm going to wear mine with my trench and beige Chanel suit I bought in France last year. The new format and pop-art designs take the stuffiness out of the midi-length and trad garments for me.

I shall try not to ;)

Very interesting stuff, thanks seton :flowers:

Congratulations on your new Paddock.

It makes sense the Kaki was made for men in mind, it's just looks so wearable. I'll check out the Prune again with a new eye.

Hello Silkies,

I have been looking and watching and have only just bought my first pieces from this season. I am a weekend messy mess so no modeling pics. Sieste has been shown and discussed and while I am still thinking about cw 15, I am sticking with this one (bought two) to wear as a silky shawl. This piece takes my breath away. The golden trees gleam with color and depth. The deep eggplant in contrast with the smidge of purple and red are magnificent! This is my DIE FOR piece of the past year and even surpasses the b/w Mythiques Phoenix which I thought was superb from two seasons ago. his piece is truly a piece of Art!

The L'arbe de Vent might go back....still thinking.... But wanted to show if someone else is considering.

Congratulations on Sieste! I agree with you this design is fabulous. I haven't seen L'Arbre de Vent yet, so i must see it IRL. Your cw is so fascinating and the animals and flowers look so sweet. Hope you'll keep it![emoji4][emoji4]

Papertiger, I was able to try Padock in the pink, mastic and blue. Pink and blue seemed too harsh on me, music was a little off on me. The prune one might work but could also be somber. I usually buy brighter scarves.

Seton, I love the information you added. What is different with this season's colorations of Padock? Less cohesive colors?

Sparkle, you will rock this Sieste. It is a beautiful choice and looks gorgeous with your hair.

Sieste was a must-have for me too. So many of the cws were just heavenly, I am not surprised you bought 2 to wear as 'a piece' together, I did the same with Quintessence in the black and white cws to wear together. 'Fun' scarves hove their place, but the truly elegant are what H scarves are all about for me.

Can't help on the LAdV. I think it has a lot of energy, looks great tied, and some motives look embroidered which are lovely but you have to be sure.
