Visited with a lovely TPFer and my SA at my local H yesterday and reviewed the F/W 15 order, including CSGMS and 90cm silks. A few general observations:
~ The new cashmere/silk CSGM mix feels sturdier to the touch than the previous season. We actually did a side-by-side comparison of the newer version and one from last season.
~ Cavalleria d'Etreirs and L'Arbre du Vent weren't in my store yet, my name is on the WL as these mash-ups are sure to be huge. Did see pics of all of the CSGMs and 90cm silks and love these two CSGM designs the most. We shall see how they look IRL :)
~ The price decrease was as of July 1st and hit most categories, including CSGMS and 90cm silks.

Vig! Did you see my post apologizing for my wishful thinking?? Scarfmischief clarified that l'arbre du vent is not a mashup as I had thought and hoped :(. There's a pic of what l'arbre du vent actually is... Something Mexican inspired... SORRY!! I'm bummed too.

PbP, love the CW4 Cd'E also! :hbeat: I am so blown away by the orange tones I see this season. Normally, orange is so tricky for me, but this season it is wonderful!! Yay!:smile1: Congrats on your Paperoles too! It is so pretty!

Thank you vitamina. I always admire your classic style. Although our colors sometimes differ, I think this cw will work for almost everyone. The pop of orange with the blue and green is so nice. I love the borders on the Della cavalleria.

The DC will always be special to me for the same reason as paperloles. At the museum last spring. I was wearing the Della cavalleria all folded and tied so you couldn't tell the pattern well. The curator showed me a book from the 17th century and it was the della cavalleria! I opened my scarf and showed her and we both welled up with tears in our eyes.

jp, didn't see your previous post, darn it! The pic was tiny at H yesterday and that must have led to the confusion about it being another mash-up. Thanks for the shout-out about it, will probably re-visit the idea of this CSGM as there are so many beauties coming this F/W. :D

They have a reverse side too??? Wow!

Pirula, I have one MT les cles. It is the same on both sides. It is one piece of folded silk. The two ends are different but coordinating colors.

I am not going to the store today. I have to go to town next weekend so maybe then, but I'm going to try to keep this my zen thing and not a mad rush. The mad rush seems so unHermes.

Oh Meg....what amazing shawls!:graucho: Well done & enoy:cool:

Oh yes! I saved your picture of this beautiful shawl! I think I might need to hunt it down

Just back from moving my DD back from the west coast this week. We made a quick overnight stop in Las Vegas...dangerous H territory! Was able to pick up this Tyger Tyger 90cm scarf...loving the jewel toned colors on this! :smile1: Also just picked up Paddock in the blue colorway at my local Boston boutique this week. I promise to post a picture later on today!

Thank you to all for posting such enabling pictures of this FW season. It is so helpful, only hoping I can return the favor!
I love this on you. What a great cw.

Thank you so much, Moma! I hardly ever wear red, but love red and blues together too!

Thank you, Elaine! Yes, I like the look of the TT, on me, worn in the bias fold the best. It just doesn't feel as much that way! :p

Klynneann, thank you for the sweet compliment! I promise, it is much prettier in person. I look forward to your thoughts when you see them irl! :smile1: I am happy for all of you in the US too! That is really wonderful news!
Thank you. Yes, I did. I purchased several twillys and a RG and diamond CDC bracelet. I spent more at H then I ever have before.

Really beautiful Bova. Congratulations. Can't wait to see Paddock on you.
Thank you so much pocketbook pup! I will get to my Paddock pictures at some time today...I hope!!

Beautiful Bova! Those colors are incredible. Can't wait to see other. Love entire ensemble, and the way you're wearing scarf. Method instructions please?
Thank you pirula, this scarf design really ties so well...the method is the asymmetrical wrap described on Maitai's website :smile1:

I love this on you. What a great cw.
Thank you megt10...I absolutely love your recent posts showing your shopping spree, gorgeous choices!! And happy anniversary!!

Thanks! I thought that might be it but you do it so much nicer than I do. I must practice.

I am embarrassed to admit this but I know you all will forgive me. The past couple if months I've not been able to understand why anyone would get multiple cw's and sizes of the same pattern. Why. When they're so expensive, and there are so many beauties, and variety is the spice of life.

Well. Eating my words because I completely get it now. Totally. Each is it's own individual gem, almost as if totally different. Learned so much here.

Oh no! You've got it bad. This is how we are going to end up with 300 scarves all in boxes. I'm trying to reel myself in. At the same time I'm fighting the urge to get on a plane or hop in my car and head down there to bring you to the store to try tyger in cashmere. It is life altering.

You two are soooo funny! I love the dialogue between you two; It is so much fun to read! The excitement at the beginning of each season is so addictive and part of what I look forward to the most with each new collection. :hugs:

Oh Meg, congrats on your new RG diamond CDC! I can only imagine how gorgeous that must be! I would say you had a better than great shopping day, my dear!! Wow, wow, wow!! :woohoo::ghi5:I love RG and find it matches with my skin tone much better than silver or gold. You lucky, lucky girl! So happy for you and what a sweet DH you have!

What a lovely back story, PbP! I think a scarf is extra special when there is a memory attached...like your Colvert K and lucky scarf~LCS! Yes, you have to have C d' E for sure, dear! I will be so happy after I see what cws the Collections Imperiales will be offered in, as well as L'Arbre! This season of CSGMs is the best I can remember. Thank you so much for your sweet compliment! I feel the same about your style! You are the Jackie O style star to me!! :hugs:

Thank you dear Vitamina! It is indeed so hard to decide!! I am actually still debating on whether to keep my Paddock. I will post a modeling shot today and would love your feedback :hugs:

Thank you so much Croisette...I wasn't sure how this design would look on me. I was unable to wear Zebra Pegasus because the design seemed to overwhelm my small stature, but for some reason Tyger Tyger thankfully worked for me! Yay :D

Bova, I am really looking forward to your pics!! May I ask what makes you hesitant/unsure? I am feeling a bit similar with the colors. I love it so much, but can't decide on a cw. Normally, I know quite fast. I think if it were a 70cm it would have been a bit easier for me. I had a very similar feeling with Les Confessions. Do you know what I mean? I do find this design so endearing that I have to decide.... I even printed out the scarves to hold in front of me and am still unsure! ha!!! :roflmfao:

Hi Vitamina, I am just uploading some photos onto my laptop now. I too am drawn to this design for many of the reasons already mentioned on this thread...that kind of retro/current look simultaneously. The design itself is actually a bit out of my comfort zone. As you know, I often pick designs with a lot of all over pattern, often quite "busy". Paddock shows a lot of a single color so it is taking a bit of time for me to get used to the look.
Having said all of that, I believe I tried most, if not all, of the CW's. I went in thinking I would choose the pink background, but the pink was just a bit too light for my coloring. I loved the burgundy, but alas too dark on me. The blue had all my usual saturated colors that I am drawn to, along with some black which I always gravitate towards! Let me know what you think...too much blue on me??

Wow! I love it! I don't think it's too much blue at all. It's bright and blue and dramatic and stops just short of "too" anything. It's perfect for you. Do please keep it. [emoji7]
