The Dumbest Reason You Ever Gave For Buying a Bag

Ooh I love this thread!! So many fun excuses! My most recent was: “I need a bag for each trimester of pregnancy.” I refused to buy maternity clothes bc (to me) they look matronly and not cute….but a new bag each trimester will always look cute. Btw my bags did indeed look very cute with my leggings and sweats, LOL!!

An almost excuse was: “They’ll paint my dogs on it.” This was the Valentino bag where they let you customize it w your initial and pics of your dogs…I tried very hard to talk myself into this bag but just couldn’t.

The power CELINE and the Triomphe Logo has had over me, the hold it had on my mind. I got a bunch of CELINE bags recently and I'm putting myself on a low buy/no buy challenge just to work through this. I'm also keeping myself from other brands because if I have to have this, I should cut out other things and stick to what I really like if I can't let it go.

People can criticize New Celine and Hedi Slimane all they want, but he has the relatable cool girl aesthetic down.

I LOVE Hedi. I've loved him since Saint Laurent days. I only got interested in Celine when he arrived.

Haha the key is to find out what will make your husband agree. Ive said that line continuesly until he caved in because he thought its business. But i think he knew i like the bag for myself as I never resell anything in my entire life lol

Dumbest reason…my LV cosmetic bag doesn’t fit a new YSL handbag and my alternatives can’t fit my YSL face powder compact…so I bought the LV mini Pochette for my YSL bag

I can’t say any of my reasons are ever particularly noble, but buying bags because they remind me of my dogs has got to be up there.

Wondering if it's worse that this reason might get used again, but it's one of my dog's doppelgangers!

"I need it for the state fair" . TBH I wanted an LV monogram crossbody of a sort anyway, but with going to the fair coming up I especially wanted it! To this date, it remains my second most used bag!
