Runs small, particularly in the upper arms in tailored jackets etc
Adding (not in Alphabetical order):
Balenciaga TTS, can run small on fitted/tailored
Westwood TTS but curvy (size up if you you're naturally hour-glass)

In my experience it depends from the line: Max Mara Weekend is true to size in my opinion, the more expensive lines tend to run large. I have a coat that is a 36, italian size, the smallest they make, and it still is a bit large for me (I usually wear size 38 or 40, that correspond to a 2 or 4 if I'm not mistaken). Here in Italy we have some stores called Diffusione Tessile that basically are the Max Mara group outlets, and some other stores (actually just 3 or 4 in the whole country, one happens to be quite near my house) called Fashion Market where you can find their stuff at really cheap prices (like 30 euros for a beautiful silk dress that originally was 250 or 300 euros). So I have a few Max Mara pieces that I couldn't have purchased at full price and I see this difference in size from one line to another
Does anyone know how Vince runs? I'm trying to order one of their sweaters and am going back and forth between a Small and a Medium, trying not to pick the right one. I'm 5'0 and I'm a size 28 (4-6) in Joe's Jeans and 7 For All Mankind, actually most jeans. I'm wearing a lot of Medium's nowadays, but still fit as a Small once and a while in some tops. It's so hard to tell because though it looks like I could almost get a Small in the photo with the model, sometimes it looks like that online and then I get it in person and it's super teeny tiny. Sometimes, it's the opposite :sigh:

I would get the small. Vince's cuts are generous, imo, and they tend to run long as well as large.
This thread should be a sticky. LOL. How about McQ clothing by Alexander Mcqueen? I am a size 4-6, but I think I learn towards a size 5 or a size 6. Am struggling over whether to get a McQ top in a size IT 42 or a size IT 44. Have no idea how his clothing runs.
What does it look like? McQ runs TTS in my opinion but I think it would help to see the style of the shirt.
It's tough because it looks a little small in the chest area but I think I'd go with 42.
