I had both. Go with what makes your heart sing. For me, empreinte all the way.
I’ve had it since august and used it every single day since. Corners haven’t worn anymore then my speedy canvas did! The bag isn’t slouching at all, the strap is getting softer. I do not use an organizer or liner, I do not over stuff but I have filled it in a strategic way. Such a beautiful bag and leather. I love all the details. Also I’ve kept the lock on the tab that was made for it the whole time and it hasn’t stretched

hi! just posting some color comparisons, I read someone was looking for comparisons but I can't find where!
This is the Alma BB in quartz vs the Hermes bastia in Craie.
Also I posted the Alma BB Quartz vs some other beige type of shades but all the others are much darker. I got the Alma in Quartz to get something much lighter yet still more easy to maintain vs a Hermes Craie handbag for example. Quartz is a really gorgeous shade of cream white.
In the handbag picture: Quartz at the top, LV Tourterelle on its right with the Craie bastia on top.
At the very bottom of the pic, an Argyle Jypsiere.
At the right of the pic, a gris tourterelle Kelly.
On the very left of the pic a Gallet Capucines.

That's a hard one. Depends on your use and your outfits. If you have evenings planned for more dressier occasions, then the epi noir.
Otherwise either one would work well.
Thank you for the quick input. I wanted to take DE but I started to think of using silver jewelry for the trip and the noir would be better.
i will be mostly with family - nothing dressy. The closest to fancy is I may need to make a return at Saks
