Hi Ladies! Im new to this forum, but have been stalking the Damier Alma BBs for awhile!

I really dislike the look of the new matte leather, so I had to search high and low to find a pre 2019 bag in excellent condition.

I ended up purchasing a 2016 DE Alma from FashionPhile. It was a pretty penny (ugh) but im definitely hoping its worth it given its the style and trim I prefer.

The only negative is its not made in France, but I guess its not the end of the world..Lol.

..Also, Im pretty petite (im 5’0) so im thinking I will need to purchase a shoulder strap to go with my Alma.

I am also 5ft. I actually don’t think the strap is too long. I also wore it crossbody though. I’ll see if I can attach a picture of my old Alma BB in Epi. Hope that helps! I also agree with you that the new matte ones have a very different look. We’re so use to the shiny coated leather.

Okay thats not too bad. My current bag (d&b) has a top handle+ optional shoulder strap so I’ll probably look into getting an adjustable shoulder strap for my BB.

I think the matte makes the bb alot more casual, but maybe thats a good thing? Ill post photos when it gets here.

I also wonder if the matte leather is more prone to scratching on the bottom of the bag? Who knows. Can’t wait to see!

I have seen a new Alma bb ( Grenade) in the website , I can never justify the true color as the epi leather reflect differently in diff lights. I try to search for the color but then I got very confused. for example: in some pre loved websites they got some Alma bb ( the listed them as Grenade) and it looks purple pink, also a YouTuber reviewed her ALMA PM few years ago ( as she said it called grenade-it looks more like the hot pink to me). So has anyone actually purchased that new Grenade Alma bb or went to the store and had a photo of it?
My self has a Fuchsia for 7 years , and I want to get her a sister ). That’s why...

Yeah I am lost when google search Alma bb “ in Grenade “. I saw some orange -red-looking one released in the past also called Grenade, some new ones look like a hot pink color, some looks purple pink. Maybe they just use the same name.

Hi ladies!

So back in 2006 I purchased an epi zcp and the name was grenade. Back then the grenade was a purplish pink colour. The epi colour in grenade came out again in the last 7 years and it was called grenade once again but was more of an orange pink. This new grenade in the Alma bb is more of a neon pink.

Hi Ladies!- I just got this cutie yesterday the second bag I’ve ordered online in the past 2 months. To my astonishment, both bags were made in France! I’m using an adjustable strap that I got for my pochette accessories which is in the shiny leather. Do you all think it looks ok? The strap it came with is too long unless you want to crossbody all the time. I like the matte leather. It is very soft. They might have changed it due to cracking issues with the shinny leather. If any of you know why they changed it, please let me know. Thanks for letting me share![emoji3]

My CA will be in the store on Monday and will advise on MIF items available, including this same Alma BB in DE - yes, I’m one of those that became a snob when the Texas plant opened. I have two made in US and don’t want to add to that pile.

I do own the Alma BB in Epi and comfortably use the stock strap. I’m 5’1” and wear the strap crossbody style and not on the shoulder. For evening, I remove the strap.

Thanks! Yes, I tend to prefer France, but if I get US or Spain or Italy, it doesn’t bother me. I have one from Texas and I live in Texas! I just thought it was interesting to get 2 bags in a row ordered online from France. At the boutique it was just whatever they had. I’m 5’6”and I don’t like crossbody too much and I don’t do hand held either. So even though the strap doesn’t match, I’ll continue to use it. Thanks for your reply.[emoji4]

Yes the Alma BB I ordered online was MIF too and surprisingly I really love the matte leather..its very soft.

Im only 5’0 and the strap hit me pretty well, crossbody.

So interesting LV! they can name them differently. Maybe Grenade is a sexy name thats why...I dont like the interior lining , it does not match the color outside, it's charcoal-black instead i think.
