interesting. i have quite a few epi alma bbs and they all have the same leather on the handles. cannot really picture a different leather on the epi handles but i have not bought any within the past year.
Could you share a picture of the new handles vs old ones?

Hi, I am in US and just received my online purchase of Alma BB DE and it is MIF. Just curious, are Almas BBa usually made in France? I've never had a MIF bag so a bit shocked.. Also are the leather parts (handle, bottom, straps) made in very dull leather? Leather parts look almost plasticky looking.. I purchased my Speedy DE last year when they changed over to dull one but these Almas are way duller than my speedy.
My Alba DE was MIF as well. I never noticed the matte leather until someone mentioned that it had changed. It doesn't bother me
Just got my very first Alma BB in DE last weekend after having obsessed over it for a little while and as my SA was about to go package it for me I looked at the side and realized that it had been made in France. I almost never check where my bags were made (nor do I really care - they’re lovely either way) but it sure is a treat when you know it’s from France!

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and the Alma bb DE is the bag on my list... now Im quite nervous about the leather change
and the look of it.
i heard about the change on the Neverfull and Speedy ... they seem to change all DE bags now.
Does anyone have an idea or info from SA what the reason for the change is?
Is it cheaper? Is it better to care for? Does it not scratch as easily as the shinier leather?
