I have had the Alma in Vernis for about 10 years. Don’t let the material fool you - it doesn’t have a scratch and it is safe in a little rain. It is my all time favorite purse. It is so sharp looking. It can get fingerprints but I’ve just quickly wiped with the LV bag protector and it’s good as new. I’ve also smacked it against the walls sometimes - how do I know this? Because on occassion white marks show around the bottom. Guess what? Comes off easily. I was shocked!

The only drawback I’ve noticed lately (10 years later mind you) is the handles have a sticky feel. I’ve read somewhere on here before people have used baby powder to help with that. I still need to research. I’ve wanted badly to get the alma bb in vernis but am contemplating epi just to have something different.

I just bought my new Alma BB in style DE
A day ago
But I’m bummed that Purse has two tiny cracks in the canvas
You can only tell if you are really staring and you can also feel a small bump
Idk if to return it or keep it
I just don’t want the two cracks to get bigger over time.

Hello guys! I’m thinking of getting my first Alma BB. I’m not sure to get the one in DE or monogram. I feel like I like the look of the mono one better but I’m scared of having to baby the bag etc. But I feel like the DE is a bit too casual? Any advice would be appreciated :) Thank you!

Hi there! They probably aren’t actual cracks in the canvas but they look like tiny scratches on the print. Alma bags aren’t prone to cracks and your bag is still new so it is very unlikely for the material to have holes in it.

But the damier print can rub off in the long term heavy use so that the black color underneath the print will start to show. Do exchange if you aren’t completely satisfied.

Hahahaha that’s a very hard question to answer, I love them both equally lol. However, I do find DE to be that little bit more carefree, so I don’t have to worry as much when I take her out.

They both really are beautiful bags, @CornishMon has done a really good review on Alma bb’s. This may help you better than my terrible answer lol.
