Ha ha, I know! I very much go for styles rather than brands, although Balenciaga is my favourite ever brand and I plan on buying another in December.
Aside from Bal, if I see a bag I like then I don't generally care what designer it is, I will just buy it. I must admit I was hesitant to get the Cupid only because I read about hardware problems and I just pray mine will be OK! Compared to my other bags, the hardware does feel slightly flimsier but the issues seem to be hit and miss so hopefully mine will hold up! It's too lovely not to take the chance!

I searched for that and found nothing! But there are other RM bags made in basket weave but not a Cupid, apparently.

Thanks, it is lovely soft leather. Used it all day for a shopping trip today and it's already getting all slouchy, just how I love it!

Just received my black Cupid today...I'm in love! But what's this about the clasps on the two smaller straps breaking? Is this still an issue?
I've had my chocolate/cognac cupid for over a year now and I have no quality issues to report at all! It's my favorite daily-use RM bag (and I have a Nikki, Mini Nikki, two MAB minis, a MAC or two, and a swing). I think the shape just fits so nicely under my arm when worn on the shoulder, and having the extra strap comes in handy when traveling. Not too heavy. I have to stop myself from buying it in other colors!
I don't overfill it for long periods of time, but I don't baby it either!

Thanks for responding! That's good to hear! That's what I bought mine for as well--for an everyday bag. I have a five month old, so it will be awesome to wear crossbody when I need to. But I probably won't baby it, so I hope it holds up nicely!

I reach for Cupid more but that's probably because it's new. Time will tell.
