The handle broke on my raspberry Cupid today.I tried to screw it back in but it wouldn't stay. I love this bag so much, I hate to even part with it to send it in for repairs.

That's what I'm hoping, I asked when filling out the repair form and I hope they'll go along with it. I don't want it getting scratched or damaged in transit, not to mention it will be expensive to send.

Sorry to hear of your loss/damage! If you have to look on the bright side, at least the color & bag are still actively in production with the same leather... It should be easy to resolve.

I'm afraid of that too!! Was it overstuffed or were you carrying unusually heavy things that day?

Sorry to hear that. Can't you just send in your strap for repair? At least you can still use the bag with the long strap, right?
Any Made in China bag (which I assume that this one is) usually has to be sent there for repair so hopefully they can just replace the strap for you.
Not even close to full, it was half empty at the time. I had my wallet, Nook, hairbrush, small pouch and cell. And normally I don't even use the short straps but sometimes when I'm just taking it from the house out to the car or from work out to the car it's easiest to grab it that way and that's what I did. It immediately came apart. It has a screw in there and I screwed it back in but it wouldn't get tight and then immediately it just broke away again.
I don't think I'll be carrying it by the long strap only because quite honestly I think without the handles hanging down in their decorative way it makes the bag look very boxy. Hmm, well I guess I could have just the one handle on there facing out, haha.
Robinn, I sure hope they have the leather to fix it and am also hoping they'll offer to send me a new strap if I send back this one. I filled out the request via their website yesterday and haven't heard back yet.
That is awful that happened to you. Why not take it back with your receipt to the dept store you got it from recently and see if they are willing to exchange.
That was the only one they had in the store and they're sold out online. Still waiting to hear back from RM...

Well they may be able to find another one at another B&M location and have it shipped. May be worth asking rather than to wait for RM to repair...that will be a long time.
I would call or email directly. Or ask here on the RM discussion thread. All of these quality issues are making me nervous.
I emailed Nicole direclty and she said they would send me a prepaid label to exchange the Swing, and send the Cupid handle in for repair. However, Saks is trying to hunt down a raspberry Cupid form another store, I'm hoping they'll call back with good news. Fingers crossed!
