Here's the Red Cupid that came today. I took pictures before really examining it. Like it... not sure if I love it, though.
Like other people have said, the handles DO seem too thin:
The thin handle is not as obvious in this pic since this handle is wrapped (but it's a cute bag, no? I wish the handles were actually this thick):
I like the way it looks crossbody:
The color is not as deep as I remember from Nordstrom, but it's still quite pretty:
The leather is amazing. Soft, thick, and distressed.
The Red MAM also came today. Don't know where to post this pic, so here it is (IMO, the texture on this one is not as nice as the Cupid. Not as distressed):

i like how it looks on u when worn cross-body. in fact seeing your pics makes me view cupid in a different light .. so gorgeous! i agree the bag will look even better if the 2 short handles are thicker but personally i think the cupid will be more of a cross-body bag i.e. i will not be using the short handle much.
