Just received my Noe bb in the mail today and will be tanning it in the sun before using it. Not sure if I wanted a new bag or just a project. This is the most vachetta I've ever gotten and I am excited to manage the patina process. Do people ever just start wearing it out?

Also pic comparing patina with Diane which I've had for 9 months now and came with the aged vachetta.

Gorgeous!

I prefer the vachetta to be light as possible, so I always just wear it out right away. When I got my Noe back from getting the full vachetta replaced from LV, I immediately wore it out. It's still pretty light and that was a year ago. I keep it in its dustbag when I'm not using it to protect it.

Congrats on your new Noé! I also have the Noé BB. It is about 1 year old and the vachetta is still very light. I like the very light color. I prefer to let vachetta patina naturally. I have a 7 year old Speedy B that over time has achieved a very even honey gold color even after a Diet Coke mishap a year ago.

I condition the vachetta on both bags occasionally. On the Speedy I used Coach leather moisturizer and I think this does initially darken the vachetta very slightly. Somewhere on the Forum I read about Bick leather conditioner and I am using this on my Noé. This does not seem to darken the vachetta at all.

Enjoy your bag whatever you decide to do!

Not that I had any doubts, but I simply hadn't tried it yet.

It was just that kind of week and (perhaps relatedly) I may have gotten a half dozen bottles of vino while making a quick Costco run. I opened one bottle and had five left for this:

THIS is the proper way how to use the bag , except they meant it originally for a French champagne. I love that you tried it out! I have several of Noe in GM size, but actually never did it, now I am tempted! :graucho:

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of buying a preloved nano noe but the one I found was made in 2015 and the vachetta looks super light. So it makes me question the authenticity. Is it possible to go soo long without any patina? Lol TIA!39d9f77044794aeaa1e15d98928904d8.jpg

I am really not sure about this statement. Maybe they do it now, but when I let them to replace the vachetta on my Galliera, they did not replace any of the inside vachetta tags.
I had two bags brought in for full vachetta replacement (both of them were in 2022). One was a Speedy 40, and the other was a regular classic Noe, and both of them had the tags removed.

If you don't mind my asking, what was the cost for the vachetta replacement on each of these pieces when you had them done last year?
Sure, I don't mind. Both were a little over $600. They initially quoted me $900 for the Noé, but then when it came back, they only charged me like $660. I was very happy. Only took about 2.5 months, whereas they quoted me longer.
