I've had both in past and just re-bought two Noe GM's. I would say the GM size can hold what the NF MM can but you'd have to stand a laptop and files upright due to the more vertical shape. I ended up getting a Petit Noe (New Model) recently (that was listed incorrectly on ebay) and it was too small for what I carry daily. I like having the extra room and height of the bag. You lose a lot of room when you cinch it closed so, for me, the GM is perfect. The strap is also more comfy than the NF's straps.
It's funny how the bulky bottom used to bother me years ago but now it doesn't at all! You do need to be more careful with it (than a hobo or tote) since it does stick out and you might bump into things and scratch the vachetta. That's a small price to pay for its beauty though! :smile:

I will likely buy a new petit. I have passed on one new many times in the past opting for GM so now I feel it is time to add one to my little Noe family. I hope you love your new beauty and will give us a review how you feel about it vs. the BB.

Sorry I know this is over one year ago but did you have all vachetta replaced by LV and they did not put a date code on the new vachetta?

I am looking at buying an vintage Noe where the owner had the vachetta replaced by LV and there is no date code. I wrote to LV CS on Facebook messenger to ask if this is standard just to make sure but they said they will put the date code on the bag.... now I know CS sometimes gives totally different answers and are not always 100% right.

I haven't had mine replaced but as far as I've been told if I did I would lose the date code. If it's stamped on a piece of vachetta that's replaced they do not restamp the code. If it's on the little leather tag inside than you would still have the date code.

Yes. The date code is NOT re-stamped and it is blank after getting the leather replaced. Hth!

Thank you so much ladies for your replies. Now I feel much safer. I am buying the bag this week. Can’t wait to have my hands on it!
